He was honestly a great kid. This isn't one of those "so what if he was hammered and pointed a gun at a cop, everyone makes mistakes" FFXU threads, he was a purely great kid. Nice, smart, made good decisions, stayed out of trouble. I challenge anyone to find fault with him. I can only imagine what caused this, mental illness or otherwise.

I know defending someone on FFXU is useless and you all will continue to mock him, I know I can't change that. I only hope his family won't come across any nasy comments written out of spite. The world lost a great person in Kevin.

Thanks to the above poster, and thanks to others who defended, MY BROTHER, kevin. I just want to set the rumors to rest as it was a mental illness, and it was suicide, and these forums were part of the reason. SO with that in mind, watch what you say. People out there are more sensitive than you think and what you write on these threads turns into high school rumors, regardless of the truth. My brother was a great person, just a little sensitive, and people like you all out there cause more damage than you think.

There is something about VT that makes kids depressed. It is so impersonal and isolating and lonely. Not a good place for sensitive kids. It is just so tragic what happen to this young man.

I full heartedly agree with everything "Friend" just wrote! Just because Westfield has seen there days of tradegy and beautiful souls lost. Doesnt mean that it is a bad school or anything. we all should be celebrating the life they had and not talking negative about a subject many of us dont know about. Ive lost about 7 good friend not including kevin who went to Westfield. ive seen multiple bashings of our school and to be honest it disgusts me. If you look up others schools you will see there has been many deaths less or more then we have had at Westfield. I think we should all stop and look at what really is important in life and be thankful instead of wasting your energy on bashing a very good school who has done what they can for there students especially with the tradegy we have seen...or bashing young lives that were gone way to early.REMEMBER ..only the good die young.

People seriously need to get thicker skinned. If you think that FFXU can be rough, just hang around some of the other forums with military vets that I've been on. They'll straight up tell you to "Shut your fucking mouth", and then proceed to ban you if you keep attempting to retort them. People this day-and-age simply need to learn to bite their tongues at times, roll with the punches, and move on. If you can't manage to do all that online, then how can you do it IRL? I admit, I used to be a fairly sensitive individual IRL, but I've learned over the years to shrug things off, and to not make a huge deal over small, insignificant things.

Kevin was a genuinely good person. Although I hadn't seen him for a while, it really hurts to know that he is gone. He will be missed. It's a terrible shame what happened.

Westfield is approaching 50 deathes by students, either caused by them or directly them, and handfuls of students in prison.
-33 deaths of VT students and one criminal suicide
-First two cop killings in Fairfax County, one of which I was very close with. Criminal killed on scene.
-Drunk driving student killed a mother.
-kids throws a firework toward another student, killing him.
-heroin ring kills atleast 1, several westfield grads in prison
-2 suicides this year (one caused by being drunk, this kid seemed like a good one)

I know I'm leaving a lot out. It's just too much to remember. But no school comes in comparison with that shit, so stop living in a lie. Westfield is on a scale all by themselves when it comes to these problems and hasn't even been around a decade. I say they shut the school down all together.

So whats the school got to do with it?, alot of bad parenting going on around here, parents suppling drugs and or alcohol for their kids,too cosumed with their own lives to notice any unusual going on with their kids. So again, explain how the school is responsible for this.
