Trick Or Treating 2010 - Saturday or Sunday?
Posted by: dewclaw ()

Yeah, I know it sounds like a silly question, but is anyone aware of some movement for Fairfax kids to trick or treat on Saturday (30th) instead of Sunday (31st) this year? My kids want to know. Thanks.

If you come to my house on Saturday, we won't be home and you'll get no candy. Actually, even if we were home you would get no candy.

Come Sunday and there's plenty to give out.

Let's keep it on the 31st.

If it fell on a Tuesday night, we wouldn't move it. Fuck football.

If you go on Saturday, you are going to piss off a lot of home owners. So, go right ahead. Piss of your neighbors and make your kids cry.

If your kid comes to my house on Saturday, I will take a huge steaming dump in his candy bag.

What's the problem with Sunday??? They can all stay up late since there is NO SCHOOL on Monday and Tuesday (Nov 1 and 2).

Have fun

my cousins lived in Pennsylvania 3 years ago and the city they lived in declared trick-or-treat day on the last saturday in october. i think it was on oct.26th. maybe because that year the 31st fell on a weekday? dunno... it's just WEIRD.

It is actually called "cabbage stalk night" - not devil's night...

I'm sorry if Halloween is such a burden for you and your society. I'm sure you were never a burden on anyone as a child.

Might I suggest moving to a country where trick-or-treating HASN'T been a tradition since before you were born? Or better yet, if you are so burdened by children, maybe you should move to a planet where there are no children?

It's like that in alot of places in PA. Never could figure out why. Where I grew up, they'd even have it on a weeknight, even if Halloween was on the weekend. Where my parents live now, trick-or-treat night this year was on Thursday.

It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
