Anyone else notice that the guy who shot and killed his wife last week owns the barber shop next to the recruitment center?

Typical non-substance/irrelevant post by the Hoffmann. You are neither funny or original. Go away.

> It's gotta be all the asbestos in western Fairfax County...

Is that what the humongous amount of dust inside my house is? Was wondering where the heck it was coming from - long ago I "treated" both the basement walls and floors to try to get rid of the dust to very little avail. I live a couple miles east of and just about about midway between the Route 50 and Route 29 quarries:

That is, any regular wind carries whatever's there my way, pretty much guaranteed.

After posting that I looked at the maps image and noticed there's ANOTHER quarry due west of my location - so winds anywhere out of the west are going to carry ... "dust" ... my way. (never knew about that due-west quarry til now)

Most of the asbestos in the county is infact in the western portion, but not everywhere.
I heard that the hill at Braddock Road and Shirley Gate is really a giant man-made asbestos pile that was covered with dirt. Its what they pulled out of the ground when the surrounding neighborhoods were built.

I fear natural and man made hazards, esp where I live. I wouldnt live in a flood plain, on a fault line, next to a volcano, or right next to a highway. Now I have to add plume fallout from quarries to the list.

Hack, did they not mention this to you when you bought the house?

Nope, never mentioned it but I wouldn't have cared anyway - probably the quarries ALL are outside some range where such things need to be mentioned OR my 1990 (or so) purchase of the house was before such things became mandatory to mention.

Fallout from planes going over is probably more dangerous than whatever dust is blowing in the wind, BTW - takeoff/landing pattern for Dulles right over house.

Never a boring day at that little strip mall. Post a link to the story if you have it.

HA! He's been doing that in a few threads now. I guess it's supposed to be intimidation.
