Psychoanalyst in Fairfax???

Im looking for a psychoanalyst in Fairfax county. Google turns up some guy off Main Street but that's pretty much it. There is a psychiatry institute in Arlington but I dont want that. And there's some psychoanalysis group in DC that doesnt seem to do counseling.

Any advice?

A psychologist cannot prescribe medication so if you think that you may need a prescription then search for a psychiatrist. I can recommend a good psychologist in nFairfax who is excellent with adolescents.

As I stated in my first post, I want a psychoanalyst, not a psychologist or psychiatrist. I think I've found one: http://www.washpsa.org/Default.asp?Page=49

I ask here because psychoanalyists can claim they are psychoanalyists but in reality may have no professional training. This is why the yellowpages are often not a great source for this sort of thing. Personal testimonial is.

if studying deviant and anti-social behavior were the intent, then this website would offer up a goldmine of knowledge to a psychoanalyst.
