Why it matters

It’s relatively normal for California to see fruit flies, which usually hitch a ride on the treats travelers bring back with them, or on shipments from other states and countries.

Way back when a kid, some Virginian pest control guy (not an illegal alien) was doing (regular) pest control for the home - perhaps after recent sale idk.

I asked him: hey why are you spraying the CAR?

He told me he wished everyone would treat outdoors and ESPECIALLY CARS because that's how the bad bugs got where they weren't supposed to be.

Now I remember over the years bugs love hitching a ride even biting me inside the car.


Fast forward years later, if I do pest control in the yard - I NEVER FORGET DOING THE UNDERBODY OF THE CAR - it shouldn't be missed.

Any weed control should can go under the car some: those also spread by vehicles.

SOME OF IT IS INVASIVE WEEDS - especially if the cars are ... "from out of town" you might get something like Star of David (a very bad thing to get) or just wacky grass (costly if your the one who has to fix it)

HORNETS LOVE CARS. they are not un-violent they are MOSTLY PEACEFUL.

they eat bees, causing allot of habitat to fail in your area


THEY WILL VISIT WINDOWS IN THE NIGHT TRYING TO GET IN THE HOME. if they do - you can die from too many bites. they will do this if you've taken any action against them. they will do it every night pounding on the window.

if you see hornets - you should call pest control. they really can be your death.

typically, when someone says "prepare my car for a long trip", a mechanic will look at break pads among other things - make sure there's more than minimum on that. the battery make sure that's not 4-5yr old.

BUT REALLY - they should suggest wash wax and even pest control. would be a good thing to do.
