Any recommendations for truly scary venues in Fairfax/NoVa/Maryland? I'm talking about leave the kids at home, wear Depends undergarments kind of scary. Any locations where they put their heart and soul into making it spectacular?

Chantilly High School is having a professional company come in and set up 13 scary rooms on Oct 30th. Proceeds will help a couple of sports teams. The players have to sell tickets for $10. My daughter has tickets if you or anyone is interested.

We just went to the Olney Boys and Girls Club Field of Screams...http://www.screams.org/...bit of a drive from NoVa but awesome and totally worth the price. Totally freaked me out.

Also I heard that Markoff set up a nearby attraction for Virginia-ers who don't want to drive all the way to Poolesville - it's at National Harbor http://www.markoffshauntedharbor.com/index.html. Tickets are $15 which is cheaper than their Poolesville location but I'm not sure how good it's supposed to be...anyone been? But have to count in additional expenses like the ridiculous $10 garage parking if you can't nab a parking meter.

Yeah, I also heard of the "Field of Screams". I would've gone to check it out, but I was sick last weekend, and one of my friends who was supposed to roll with us this weekend just had his wisdom teeth pulled, so it looks like a no-go this year.

I heard there's also one down in Chantilly.

Just got back from the Clifton haunted trail. They did a good job for sure this year. My boys were definetly spooked and had a few laughs too. I have never in the 6 years we have been going seen so many people there.
