I used to really love the place, but I work on the same block as Baja Fresh and Chipotle, and I find myself going to Chipotle more often these days. I agree with Space Ghost's comment about not having the option of smaller meals.

Baja Fresh is pretty good. I don’t know what it is about Chipotle… their food tastes great but always upsets my stomach. I personally think Moe’s is better then both.

speaking of chipotle.. anyone ever been to a Qdobas?

It is aparantly a competitor of Chipotle.. but its all EXACTLY the same.. except no tequila..

chairs are the same
tables are the same
fence-like barrier around the eating area is the same
ordering buffet-thing is the same (the ingredients are probably even ordered the same)..
decorations, menus, FOOD, all the same

i asked for guacomole.. he says "gaucs a little extra" just like chipotle says it..

was some wierd shit..

in Richmond, by the way

I personally like Baja over Chipotle. I think Moe's is on par with Baja. The whole Baja vs Chipotle debate will never be settled. It comes down to personal taste and the burritos aren't really the same anyway. Personally I find Chipotle's is just big and bland.

Apples and oranges, though Rio Grande is my favorite.

I like Chipotle...can't say I've ever eaten at a Baja Fresh though. I've tried, but every time I walk in, I walk back out because of the smell. Similar to dirty feet, blegh!

I got one of those last week for the first time. I was actually pretty disappointed in it. It's not bad or anything, it just wasn't as good as the picture on the sign. I go to the BF in Rosslyn, which I've noticed isn't as good as other locations I've been to, so maybe that was part of the problem.

Baja was never owned by McDonald's, they were owned by Wendy's but were sold to B.F. Operations Holdings sometime in the last year. The same company owns the Cinnabon group, and recently acquired the Hardee's and Carl's Jr. and La Salsa chains as well.

I just tried chipotle's tonight. I liked it, good food, but not better then baja fresh. Different stlye of mexican. I definately prefer baja fresh but chipotle's would be my 2nd choice. Also, its kind of expensive.
