Well I went by South Lakes High School today and I noticed they are tearing it apart.
Damn it looks like they are completely gutting it. You would think that they are starting to build a new school with all the construction going on.

I just graduated from South Lakes
and lurker got it about right
they are completely gutting the school.
they're closing off parts of the school and totally redoing the interior.
you wouldn't know from the outside.
but they're turning the jail into an actual high school.
actual walls, doors and the shiibaang.

Are they going to start having graduations elsewhere? I went to a graduation at South Lakes one time, they actually had the thing in the gym. Every other school gets the patriot center, constitution hall, other awesome shit. South Lakes gets to have it in a fucking basketball gym.

Woodson's graduation this year was at Robinson in their gym. I thought that kinda sucked too.

it pretty much goes like.
if you have small-ish school.
you're in your own gym.
a medium sized school like woodson is going to be upp'd to Robinson Gym.
and the bigger schools like westfield get the patriot center.
and if your langley with 90% of the student's parents in some sort of government position.
you get the Constitution Hall.
but personally.
I liked having my graduation in the gym.

Not exactly....Annandale High School, which is 99% beaners STILL graduates at Constitution Hall. It's a tradition that goes way back...I graduated from AHS in '71...and they used Constitution Hall well before that.
I sure wish they'd quit using Patriot Center....GAWD that messes up Braddock Rd traffic!

Agreed. I also wish they'd stop holding NOVA graduation at the Patriot Center. I wouldn't mind that much except that it is always during finals week.
