Michael S O'meara Inc in Laytonsville, MD received a SECOND Paycheck Protection Loan of $38,813 through Bank of America, National Association, which was approved in February, 2021.
This loan has been disbursed by the lender and has not yet been fully repaid or forgiven.
WHY WASN'T THIS SECOND LOAN FORGIVEN?
Second Draw PPP loans made to eligible borrowers qualify for full loan forgiveness if during the 8- to 24-week covered period following loan disbursement:
Employee and compensation levels are maintained in the same manner as required for the First Draw PPP loan,
The loan proceeds are spent on payroll costs and other eligible expenses,
and At least 60% of the proceeds are spent on payroll costs.

PPP loan fraud is defined as an individual or business providing false information when applying for or certifying a federal PPP loan. Not only is this a crime, but spending the funds outside of the specified uses is also illegal
If you're a PPP whistleblower, the law is on your side.
Federal laws prohibit retaliation against truth-tellers who blow the whistle on employers who defraud the Paycheck Protection Program administered by the Small Business Administration (SBA). And some statutes offer monetary rewards for turning in wrongdoers. Under the False Claims Act (FCA), for instance, the government may reward a PPP whistleblower with up to 30 percent of the recovered funds.

Hmmm. In Mike's first PPP loan that was forgiven ( second one has not been forgiven} he listed his occupation category as "Plumbing, HVAC" instead of "Amusement..." Mike obtained his PPP from Maryland, not Florida where he lives.
