Fairfax Fireworks Show

Any idea why the Fairfax Fireworks show ended so abprubtly? Is was going well and then basically just ended with a whimper, no finale or anything. Was it realted to the accident at the Vienna show?

A friend of mine said the same thing. He said it was strange the fireworks just stopped.

the ones at Herndon had a nice 15min break in the middle, but it was due to a shell that exploded in the launcher tube, not in the air. They got the show going again, but went straight for the finally box. Total fireworks time may have been 15mi... weak compared to the herndon festival ones that went for 25 or so min.

There was a misfire, and the fireworks company and fire marshal decided to end the show.

There was a faulty product which caused a 3" shell to explode in the box it was being fired from resulting in the box exploding. The explosion caused other ground explosions within close proximity of the fireworks crew. Due to the nature of the explosion and having it unknown at the time what caused the explosion, the show was stopped for safety.

Did people enjoy the display considering the early end of it?
