Anyone lose a pet rat?

The other day my neighbor came up to me asking if we had rats..she said she saw a rat lying in her front yard and poked him with a stick and he ran...

Well, today I had an encounter with this same rat I believe. He doesn't look like a nasty dirty DC street rat, he's light brown and seems really people-friendly..my dog though was attacking him and I ran over to stop him..sooo is anyone missing a light brown rat? lol...

Just pick him up and pet him maybe let him eat at the
dinner table with you until his owner phones you

Actually Mr Cobblesworth is out having a night on the town with the ladies, so it's not him.

There are a whole troupe of rats in my neighborhood, because the neighbors never walk their dog and just let them crap in their small, fenced in backyard. The dog crap is like rat bait, and they get huge because of the high protein diet. Then they come into our yard and gnaw on fences, dig tunnels in the dirt etc. It's just plain gross. Someone recently put out rat poison and a few of them came to die in our yard, which was awesome.

Was it missing a finger? Because I think this guy may have the rat in question.

Get a couple of cats. The rat and mouse problem will go away in a week.

Blessed are the murderous.

Sometimes when wild animals seem docile or friendly, they're actually rabid, especially when they are critters usually seen at night , and they're out during the day. Not sure if that pertains to rats as much as racoons and skunks, but it's worth considering especially if your dog came in contact with it.
