Last night around 9:30pm there were something like 10 FCPD cars in Brookfield neighborhood, at least half with lights a blazing on Pennsboro Dr.

Anyone have any ideas as to what was going on???

My initial thinking is that with all of the fireworks now on the street someone probably reported "possible gun fire" and that brought out the masses, just a theory though.

Probably not - they usually don't take possible shots fired very seriously, especially around July 4.

There is no police report out about it yet but I heard from some neighbors that there was an incident involving a hispanic man with a machete that chased someone into a house.

Those are all the details I have, and it's all hearsay.

If you call the Sully District police station I'm sure they can give more details.

They must have just posted this not to long ago...

Man Assaulted by Two Men; Police Make Arrests

On Sunday, July 1, a 32-year-old Chantilly man was assaulted by two suspects. The attack occurred outside around 9 p.m. in the 4200 block of Pennsboro Drive in Chantilly. The victim sustained a laceration to his arm when the first suspect cut him with a machete. The second suspect reportedly held the victim down and punched him repeatedly. The victim received minor injuries.

Police arrested Pablo Portillo, 29, of 4299 Pennsboro Drive and Jose Morales, 40, of 43623 Hetrick Lane, both of Chantilly. They were taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with attempted malicious wounding.

No. There are way too many illegal aliens in the United States. We need to close down the border and 'tag' (in a manner of speaking, of course) all of the illegals that are here NOW.

...and don't try to tag me as a racist either. I am part mexican/chinese and I immigrated here from Mexico LEGALLY when I was three, as did the rest of my family. We waited patiently for 10 years while our paperwork was sent through, but these illegals just come in and set up shop - And they're being ALLOWED to do it too, which pisses me off.

Chinese Mexican American... wow, now that's diversity.

Im over here in brookfield as well and i remember that night, i was actually stopped and searched while out around that time while near bottom dollar.
