I've lived in FFx City for 12 years now and my experience with the cops
has been extremely good. I've called 911 twice for noise complaints and
they were on the spot within 5 minutes. When the gas station was robbed
at gunpoint they were there within two minutes after the owner called
911. The cops have a lot of bs to put up with. Drunks in Old Town and
punks who seem to gravitate to the Willard Way Safeway don't make their
job any easier. I realize that some of the posters on the FFU have a
problem with being arrested for DUI, but hey!, if you don't do the crime
you won't do the time. If FFx HS kids didn't drive like maniacs they
wouldn't have to worry about speed traps either. So there!!!

You called 911 TWICE for a..... NOISE COMPLAINT. Yep: "The cops have a lot of bs to put up with." No wonder they start to get attitude.

Fairfax City is full of yuppie douches that belieive they live in some sort of elite enclave, They are lucky to have the public services they have, but like most elitists, they complain about most things , have an opinion about everything and really contribute nothing to the community they live in unless it directly benefits them.

Twice as in two separate occasions. What specific problem are you having
or is it that you just don't like cops because they will make you behave?

BTW, this is what I mean by "by to put up with". If you follow
this report on a regular basis you will start to recognize names
that appear frequently.

I'm saying, I cannot fathom someone calling 911 for a noise complaint. 911 is an emergency number. Noise is not an emergency - it's an annoyance. If you are calling 911 because someone is making too much noise, you are abusing city services - and diverting them from pursuing true emergencies. They should have charged you with misuse of the police emergency line. No wonder some of the cops are irritable and unpleasant to deal with.

Troll. Yes I call 911 if someone turns up their stereo so loud I can
hear it 3 blocks away at 3 a.m. Yes, I call 911 if I hear loud noises
coming from an abandoned building. I also call them when a traffic light
is out in a major intersection during the rush hour. I also call them
when there's an accident on the road that I witness. If you don't like
it call 411 and tell someone else.

^^^^^^^^^^ brougham i think the guy means why are you calling 911 for non emergencies? You are supposed to call the non-emergency line for noise complaints and traffic lights.

In one instance the noise was also accompanied by behavior that I
thought needed to be attended to immediately. In another, I felt
that loud noises coming from an abandoned building may have been
created by someone committing other crimes as well as breaking an
entering. As far as the traffic light goes, have you ever seen the
intersection of Rt. 50 and Chain Bridge when the light's out and no
cop to direct traffic? The 911 operator thanked me so maybe I called
the right number after all. Since "Sensible" doesn't seem to want to
discuss anything specific I can only feel thats it's either a troll
post or someone with an axe to grind.

No, I tried to make a legitimate report and the donut-eater was so lazy he messed it up. As for you, Chain Bridge, wow. You sure do call 911 a lot over non-emergency things. The dispatcher HAS to be nice to you. They tell jokes about you in the dispatch center... It's HIM! The guy who calls 911 to report a popped balloon! OMG - a piece of rubber might have flown into someone's eye! Dont tell me: you're the president of your HOA, and you know all the vilations by heart, and you carry a little clipboard on your morning stroll. HAHAHAHAHA

And even if the "stereo" and "bad behavior" (ie. peole laughing) can be heard FIVE blocks away... that is not 911. You are the reason we have a 911 tax. Sounds like you have some sort of panic disorder. They have medicine for that now - not like when you were a kid, running up to the teacher every five minutes ("Teacher, Johnny looked at me....")

Chain Bridge is the head of my HOA. He's the guy you see on your lawn at 6 a.m. on a Saturday, measuring your grass to see if it's 1/4 inch too long. He called 911 on me because I had a weed growing between the cracks on my sidewalk. Then another time he called 911 because I left a speck of snow on my parking spot.
