Best places to longboard in fairfax county?

Anyone know some good spots? Areas with low traffic are good and where you can really see what lies ahead of you while your riding is key. I would just like to find a spot where i can ride with confidence and know my odds of getting hit by a car are very small

Wakefield park - good beginner course. If you head back from the Audrie Moore rec center/skatepark towards Braddock road, there is a parking lot for the baseball diamonds which is completely deserted during the winter. Great skating on nice days. If you start at the top, you can hit 20MPH which is pretty fast on the board. Nice run off area if you want to go for maximum speed.

i longboard in areas just off of wheihle ave and baron cameron ave in a set of niehborhoods called longwood grove and even sometimes in great falls crossing. it is very safe and straight. i evn go on roads around north piont village center

soooo five years ago. what a shitty trend. its for fat kids who can't really skate. longboarding these days is rife with kooks. from someone who put his time into longboarding enough to know.... pick up a real skateboard. You can do everything on a fratstick that you can on a real board, plus more. lose the plaid shorts.

66 west to Haymarket, rout 15 to Logmill Rd, right on Youngs Dr left on Ridge Rd. Ridge Rd is the spot. Take two cars park one at basketball court so you don't have to walk up the mountain.
