Shes very good at her job, dont let her catch you dissing her or she will diss you in court.

Understand she is a court appointed lawyer and she deals with the sediment at the bottom so she is very busy.

if the public defender is booked the judge can appoint you a regular defense attorney. If so you may have got lucky. Is her office in the public defenders office or does she have her own place?

Sounds like you got lucky dude. But then again the court only pays these lawyers a set fee so some of them get pissed they earn small bucks for big cases.
Already having a probabtion officer doesnt sound good though.

From reading her bio, it sounds like she pretty much does Public Defender stuff full-time for this private firm. I wonder what the firm is getting out of this. Maybe if she is a partner the are getting some women-owned business designation or something of that nature.

I'm damn good at what I do and if you don't think so you can always just find somone else. There are plenty of people out there that continue to be harrassed and accused of crimes and whose rights are constinuously being cviolated who would not only need bu talso respect the help I can provide. If there is one thing I know for sure is that no other lawyer could possibly give a damn about your case or pay the type of time and attention that I will. I do my job and I do it well. I went to good schools, paid my dues, and I represent those who have been accused of crimes and sometimes I do it for free...I do it for free sometimes because I believe in the Constitution, I believe the little guy is the guy that makes this country work and I believe that everyone deserves good representation even when they can't afford it. I feel so strongly about protecting the rights of people that I (being a black woman) have even represented Klansmen, sking head and people who ignorantly believe that I "am only good at eating chicken". (Clearly someone who has never even met me!!) Not because I have a anything to prove, but because it's the right thing to do.

So there STMF...if you had any concerns, you should've just asked me...

By the way, you shouldn't be talking about ANY facts of your case on this site (or ANYWHERE other than my office)...If I found it... you know officers, prosecutors and possibly even judges can find it. All of which could be used against you...It wuoldn't be hard to figure out who you are, they know I'm your lawyer and some of the responses refer to you by name...NOt a good idea.
