Funny if it were true. The original "science" charters in fairfax were HEAVILY ASIAN, had allot more funding than "other highschools" - had asian teachers obviously, and always gave asians good grades obviously.
If hispanics and blacks who may have % political control have raided those "sweet spots" asians had politically won, wouldn't that be special.
FAIRFAX IS FULL OF PEOPLE WHO ARE CHEATING EACH OTHER IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE, and a few others who are the subject of all the scams.

i once asked someone what those science charter schools were they said, "oh - you mean asian schools". i then looked for evidence the county was covering up a spending spree. THEY WERE.

A nothing story. The two members shared their opinion that the policy felt anti-Asian, not that it was. Courts may decide in the end, but Asians are nowhere near underrepresented at TJ even after their 19% decline in enrollment numbers. Individual applicants may feel the system is unfair if they don't get admitted even with really high test scores and grades. Perhaps life is unfair, but there are limited spots available so somebody will be denied. The goals of those applicants and their parents--to squeeze every opportunity they can out of the FCPS system--are not the same as the goals of the board: to create a superior sci/tech educational institution and provide the highest possible sci/tech education across the most diverse county student population they can.
