It seems that playoffs has come early for Chantilly and South Lakes - the outcome of that game this week will likely determine which team goes to playoffs and which doesn't.

God I hope the Chargers don't pull a 2016 on me.

Oaktons team SHOULD (if all goes well this week) be back to full strength, haven’t had the full team’s health since week 3… can they make a turn around?

This weeks game between madison and centreville will tell us a lot about these two teams. With Madison loosing its first 3 straight by a combined 7 points to above average teams this year can they finally win the big game? Also is centreville finally ready to prove to everyone they can best madison shields has never beat them and in haddocks last season they went 0-2 against the warhawks. If memory serves me correct the warhawks have been centrevilles last game a couple times the past few years. Who doesn’t love a good rivalry.

Wildcucks vs Warcucks
Can Shields finally beat Madison or will he continue to be cucked by MHS. I know if Shields can he will run up the score, he’s got to be tired of getting cucked by the team from Vienna. In the end it doesn’t matter, Bruins going to win and come out to represent the North.

Someone told me Herndon hired several Westfield assistant coaches this spring. If true I'm sure it is just a coincidence.

Paul Granados, former Westfield JV head coach, is coaching at Herndon now (from what I know). I don't know of others who left and most of the Westfield coaches are still there.

Yes we always got people like this!. I smoke and I’ve been a smoker for years. Most of the time I am surrounded by people who do not smoke at all. Doesn’t amaze me. I have some close friends, we hangout together international;y and vacation parties but they both have never smoked weed and I am a regular smoker and this thing doesn’t affect our friendship at all. https://cannaapproach.com/ It’s not about something being legal or illegal. If a thing is facilitating you either way it is totally okay for the other person to use it. I started using it for my chronic pain and eventually ended up like this. https://modernarmz.com/ Being a marijuana enthusiast I keep on researching for good material and here I came across 5 new researches! Shields stinks! Horrible game plan. Should’ve been passing a lot more leading up to this game instead of running ball 70% of the time. You have the best qb in the region along with some real weapons on the outside and what does he do, shit the damn bed. He has no problem passing 80% of the time when it was his kid under center and wanted to highlight him and pad his stats so he can get college offers. Tired of this bs! Wasting entire seasons! 2 yrs of this BS. He’s gonna regret when he loses qb to another school.

Cville’s passing game needs some work. Get more players involved and run different routes. Tonight it was one ball to 12… one ball to TE down the middle that was picked off. The rest was to 3…outs or go routes. Maybe a screen in there. I’m sure the qb is told where to throw the ball. I do agree with WN that the game plan wasn’t good. Also the KOR with the reverse hasnt worked all year. Def coach was too slow to take out #5 who gave up too long TDs, especially on 3rd and 18 with 2 min to go. How does that happen??

Sup fellas -

Haven't been following this season close but I think we're in for one of the most interesting years in a long time in NOVA football (6D is all I give a shit about). None of us have a chance with those guys down south I don't think, but at the very least a lot of teams are competitive with one another. Langley, Yorktown, Westfield, Madison, Centreville, Herndon, and Chantilly, are all close enough to where typical errors can level the playing field. Cheers to competitive football even if it doesn't look great.

Final was 48-14. Oakton has a decent QB and gave Westfield a pretty good game the first half (21-7 at the half). Kinda got blown away the second half - partly because of idiotic playcalling. Westfield plays a sort of prevent pass defense so you can get yardage if you pick away at it. But for some reason Oakton went sandlot and first couple of possessions of the second half threw deep on every down. What kind of strategy is that when the game is still reasonably close?

Had a lot of family stuff going on this weekend so I don't have as much commentary as usual to provide.

1. Centreville (-8) @ Madison
- Madison won 21-18, that's 4 straight wins for the Warhawks who very well win out. Thats 9 straight loses for Centreville against Madison.

2. Falls Church (-3) @ Stuart
- The Jags won and covered, 33-23.

3. Hayfield (-15) @ Annandale
- Hayfield won and covered, 45-14.

4. Herndon @ Washington-Lee (-8)
- 5 wins in a row for the Hornets who knocked off the Generals, 41-20. I'm not sure the last time they had a 5 game winning streak but the last time they won more than 5 games was in 2008. Congrats to Herndon.

5. Langley (-38) @ Wakefield
- "Game will be over at halftime." Indeed it was. Langley rolled 62-6.

6. Lee @ Edison (-30)
- Edison won easy, 61-7.

7. Marshall @ Yorktown (-21)
- Yorktown won and covered, 35-0.

8. Oakton @ Westfield (-35)
- Westfield won 48-14, came pretty close to nailing this one.

9.Robinson @ Lake Braddock (-10)
- Lake Braddock won and covered, 35-20. Cant wait for them to play Fairfax this Friday and South County to end the regular season.

10. South Lakes @ Chantilly (-14)
- South Lakes won 23-17, my oh my has Chantilly fallen off...

11. T.C. Williams (-7) @ West Potomac
- I was totally wrong about this one, West Potomac won 33-7. T.C. has been one of the harder teams to predict this year.

12. Woodson @ Fairfax (-40)
- Fairfax proved they own Fairfax by absolutely blasting Woodson, 78-0. Wonder what the score was at halftime and I also wonder if Henderson regrets leaving Hayfield for Woodson.

13. West Springfield @ South County (-7)
- Nailed this one! The Stallions won 35-28, wish I was able to watch this one.

1. Annandale (-6) @ Falls Church
- Battle between two 2 win teams, the Atoms are a little bit better than the Jags in my mind.

2. Centreville (-30) @ South Lakes
- Hopefully the Seahawks don’t come out still riding their high from last Friday because they’re going to get a pissed off Centreville group. This one could get ugly.

3. Chantilly (-17) @ Oakton
- I almost made the spread lower, but Chantilly gets a chance to beat up on somebody who isn’t as good as them.

4. Fairfax @ Lake Braddock (-14)
- Game of the week. Two undefeated teams meeting, this one is going to be fantastic. I think the Bruins will pull away late. Who ya got???

5. Hayfield (-49) @ Lee
- Nothing to say here.

6. Herndon (-17) @ McLean
- I smell 6 wins in a row for the Hornets!

7. Marshall @ Langley (-15)
- Marshall is quietly 1-6 this year. I don’t think the Saxons will have much trouble in this one.

8. Mount Vernon @ Edison (-10)
- Edison is better this year, they’re nowhere near as good as those 2006, ’07, ’08 teams but they aren’t as bad as some of the other teams in the area. The good news for the Majors is they will have 2 full weeks to prepare for this game.

9. Robinson (-49) @ Woodson
- Going to be another ugly lose for the Cavs I fear. Running clock again in the 2nd half in as many weeks.

10. South County (-24) @ West Potomac
- The Stallions will face less resistance this week as opposed to last week with the other West team. They should be just fine in this one. Is their QB back?

11. T.C. Williams @ West Springfield (-14)
- Game is being played on Saturday 10/22. T.C. has been hard to predict but the Spartans are the better team in this one.

12. Wakefield @ Yorktown (-42)
- I truly feel bad for the Warriors. I don’t think Haddock will run the score up that bad, although he very well could.

13. Washington-Lee (-21) @ Stuart
- The Generals are looking to bounce back after losing to Herndon and I’m expecting them to do just that against JEB. I almost wanted to make the spread higher.

14. Westfield @ Madison (-7)
- Co-Game of the week. Westfield has won 6 in a row and they’ve won 5 out of the last 7 against Madison. With that being said, I think Madison has righted the ship after starting 0-3. Westfield will have to throw schemes and formations out there that are foreign to Madison. When its all said and done though, I think Madison wins at home and ends the Bulldogs’ winning streak.

15. Woodgrove @ Stone Bridge (-35)
- Homecoming for Stone Bridge coming off a bye. Looking for them to roll over Woodgrove.

You get that is a troll right? 99% of posts about teams that are saying they are going to beat another team are people who just want other people to shit on that team. Bruin mama-troll. (insert team name here) fan or alum-troll. I think it’s funny how many people take the bait. My favorite type of troll is when someone posts “ hey does anyone know the score of the (insert team) game” Anyone who post on here knows how to find the score.

Took Centreville to win and cover. Got both ends of the pick wrong.

I called for Stuart to win outright, so that means both ends of my pick were wrong.

Correctly picked Hayfield to both win and to cover.

Thinking that the clock had to strike midnight on Herndon's Cinderella season, I took W-L to both win and cover. I got both ends of this wrong. Considering how Herndon has done this season, and looking at their remaining schedule, I don't think they'll lose another game.
>
> 5. Langley (-38) @ Wakefield

No pick when the spread is > 35 points. This was an opportunity for Langley's sophomores to get some varsity playing time. They're aren't any more on their schedule.
>
> 6. Lee @ Edison (-30)
> - Edison won easy, 61-7.

Correctly picked Edison to win and cover. Edison is the other feel-good story this season. Edison is currently in 8th place in the Region C standings, which puts them in playoff position, though they still have Mt. Vernon and Hayfield left to play. Those two games will pose more of a challenge for them.

Correctly picked Yorktown to win and to cover.

Correctly picked Westfield to win. I also took them to cover, which I missed by one point. Did Westfield screw me up by missing an extra point?
>
> 9.Robinson @ Lake Braddock (-10)

Correctly picked Lake Braddock to win and cover. I also thought Lake Braddock would win by 14, which was one point from being on the nose.
>
> 10. South Lakes @ Chantilly (-14)

I took Chantilly to win, but not to cover. That counts as an incorrect straight up pick, but correct against the spread.
>

Correctly picked West Po to win and cover.

No pick with the spread greater than 35 points. As a side note, when Woodson was 3-1 earlier this season, I predicted they would not win another game. They have Robo, Lake Braddock, and TCW. That prediction is looking pretty good.

Correctly picked South County to win and cover. Congratulations on nailing the spread.

My picks for this week.

parentof2 - week 8 Wrote:

Battle of mid tier National teams. To elaborate: Top Tier: Edison, Hayfield, Mt. Vernon; Mid tier: Annandale, Falls Church, Stuart. Bottom tier: Lee. It's hard to differentiate in the mid tier of National teams, but perhaps Falls Church has separated themselves a bit with their win against Stuart (which I missed; I thought Stuart would win). I'll take Falls Church to win outright.

> 2. Centreville (-30) @ South Lakes

It may come down this way, or it may be that Centreville is going through a rough patch at the moment. This is a lot of points to give, so I'm going to take Centreville to win, but not cover.
>
> 3. Chantilly (-17) @ Oakton

Chantilly wins and covers, but I really wish you would have made the spread lower; that would have made this pick easier.
>
> 4. Fairfax @ Lake Braddock (-14)
> - Game of the week. Two undefeated teams meeting,
> this one is going to be fantastic. I think the
> Bruins will pull away late. Who ya got???

Last year's game, won by Braddock by 7, was absolutely fantastic. I think Fairfax is better this year, but I also think Lake Braddock is better this year (as illustrated by their win against Robo). I think this will be close, so I'm going to go with Lake Braddock to win, but not cover.
>
> 5. Hayfield (-49) @ Lee
> - Nothing to say here.

Hayfield had a bye back on Sept. 30. I think this qualifies as their second bye week this season. After this game. Hayfield has Mt. Vernon and Edison, and those two games will decide National, and perhaps the only team in National that makes the playoffs (I think it's at best 50/50 that National gets two into the playoffs). Hayfield should treat this game as a scrimmage, and give their starters some reps, then rest them and give their sophomores some playing time. No pick with a spread > 35 points.
>
> 6. Herndon (-17) @ McLean

Herndon wins and covers, easily. After this week, Herndon's remaining schedule is Langley and Marshall. I think they'll win out.
>
> 7. Marshall @ Langley (-15)
> - Marshall is quietly 1-6 this year. I don’t

I agree that Langley will win, but I'm not sure they're that much better. I'll take them to win, but not cover.

I think this is a good call on the spread, as I think this will be pretty close to Edison's margin of victory. I'll take Edison to win and cover. This is the first of three games that will decide National and perhaps their sole playoff representative. Next week, the biggest game in National is Mt. Vernon v. Hayfield. The following week it's Hayfield v. Edison.

No pick with the spread >35 points. There isn't any chance in the world that Woodson will win this game, but it's worth noting that Woodson did manage to hold South County to only a 35 point win, so there is some chance that Robo won't cover. Not much of a chance, though.

I thought West Springfield was good, but they are better than I thought. I'll take them to win and cover. TCW better be careful; they are only sitting in 7th place in the Region C playoff standings at the moment, and I wouldn't consider their place in the playoffs secure. Next week, they have South County. They do finish up against Woodson, so they'll have at least one more win, but will that be enough?

As we've all learned, there is no shame in losing to Herndon. There is, however, shame in losing to Falls Church. W-L wins and covers.

Given how Madison has recovered, I don't think this spread is high enough. Madison wins and covers.

Stone Bridge wins and covers.

-Even when BRYC had 3-4 teams at every level feeding it Woodson sucked. The same kids went to Robinson and Lake Braddock and they won. When I first moved here 25 years ago, over half the fans left after the ban played at halftime. Trey whats his name won with a QB who transferred in for a year. Pannoni won with one of the Solomon kids but I think the WTW Yenta/Asian moms had him fired. Those women were embarrassed to have a good football team. The same bitches that propped up Yost as he destroyed so many lives.

FYI, that missed extra point still would not have covered. To “cover” you need to exceed the spread. Hitting the spread is the same as a tie in blackjack, a push.

In vegas the spreads are set to half points, so they cant be tied. Since these are just for fun, I think when parentof2 sets it to a full number, its so he can hit it exactly. No money, so theres whole numbers.

Madison started off with a very difficult schedule and it showed, but with a bunch of newer players without varsity experience the results against Stone Bridge and Lake Braddock are not unexpected. The Yorktown score is perplexing. They then played two sub par teams before pulling out a win against Centreville. Westfield is on their normal (recent) glide path of losing to a team early on (Unity Reed) that they would probably soundly beat now, then struggling to beat a few teams they should have beaten comfortably, then rounding into better form mid-season. If Westfield plays the way they have been, and the secondary has a good game I like Westfield’s chances. The defense has been very good against the run. I do not see a lopsided win for either team unless something drastic happens like multiple turnovers or a lot of short field scores.

The Madison Westfield game is always a classic with the exception of last year. Expect a tight game with two good teams with the better one prevailing usually. Madison is 5-2 against Westfield and on a two game win streak biggest rivalry in the Concorde past few years since centreville and chantilly haven’t been able to beat either in the playoffs.

Not sure if you yourself tried, but to anyone reading, you can disable image pop-ups in whatever browser you're using. That way, these retarded posts just look like an assortment of garbled links, and you get to sleep better at night.

The downside of course is you won't immediately see legitimate images from real users, but oh well, can't get 'em all.

A Westfield observer for sure. You have nailed it.

I expect Westfield will have a difficult time scoring against Madison. Probably not another shutout but maybe 17 points max. Madison has very solid coaching - they have out-schemed Westfield a few times – as you can see from their history – all the games are close. Last year was a blowout but the difference in skill level was simply too much for coaching to overcome. This year the skill levels should be closer – but I have to give the edge overall to Madison.

So, Lake Braddock still hasn't put together a defense that can tackle worth a shit. Tony Rojas might be the best player in VA! Let's see how far he can take Fairfax!

In regards to the user(s) posting about me "nailing the spread," I don't really do it like we were playing blackjack or anything like that. For example, if you placed a bet on FanDuel or any of those apps on Tennessee -3 against Alabama last weekend, you would've won as Tennessee won 52-49. I do the same thing, so there's an argument to be made on both sides. I am just stating my reasoning behind it all. I really do appreciate all of you guys interacting with my posts.

1. Annandale (-6) @ Falls Church
- Annandale won 28-27, failing to cover. Good win for the Atoms nonetheless.

2. Centreville (-30) @ South Lakes
- Centreville won 46-6, releasing some post Madison anger in the process.

3. Chantilly (-17) @ Oakton
- Chantilly won and covered, 29-7.

4. Fairfax @ Lake Braddock (-14)
- Fairfax won 29-14. Big win for them. I watched the first quarter and let me tell ya, Tony Rojas is the real deal. The Bruins looked almost as if they were scared to tackle him when he had the ball on offense and it seemed like he was constantly making tackles for a loss. Their QB was mediocre but with a player like Rojas, Fairfax can get away with it.

5. Hayfield (-49) @ Lee
- Hayfield won 49-7. JV kids played 3 quarters.

6. Herndon (-17) @ McLean
- Herndon won and covered, 49-7. 6 in a row for the Hornets. I agree with the user who said Herndon could win out, I believe they will.

7. Marshall @ Langley (-15)
- Langley won 35-20, nailed this one.

8. Mount Vernon @ Edison (-10)
- Edison won 35-0, I'd be lying if I said I expected this result. Were the Majors banged up? Good win for the Eagles, who now have 2 weeks to prepare for Hayfield.

9. Robinson (-49) @ Woodson
- Robinson won 70-7... WTW has been outscored 252 to 13 in the last 4 games. Yikes... How long until Henderson says screw this and leaves?

10. South County (-24) @ West Potomac
- South County won 34-14, failing to cover. The game was actually closer than the score says.

11. T.C. Williams @ West Springfield (-14)
- The Spartans won and covered, 34-3.

12. Wakefield @ Yorktown (-42)
- Yorktown won 38-0. It was 31-0 early in the 2nd so it looks like Hanson took the foot off the gas early.

13. Washington-Lee (-21) @ Stuart
- W&L won handily, 42-0.

14. Westfield @ Madison (-7)
- Like many, I was upset to see that the camera at Madison was experincing technical diffculties at the worst possible time. Madison won 21-16 however, anyone have any insight on this game? Based off the score, it looks like it was a good one.

15. Woodgrove @ Stone Bridge (-35)
- Stone Bridge won 49-28 on Homecoming. I'm guessing some reserves got a chance to play.

Crazy that the regular season is almost at an end!

1. Fairfax (-10) @ Robinson
- We start off this week’s slate with the Game of the Week. I don’t think Robinson will be able to run the ball with efficiency this week with Tony Rojas playing LB. The Rebels also have a solid defensive line. Robinson will have to find ways to score if they want a chance in this one.

2. Falls Church (-35) @ Lee
- Yes, the Jags are bad but the only way I don’t see them covering this is if they play their JV kids for 3 quarters as Hayfield did.

3. Hayfield (-14) @ Mount Vernon
- Hayfield has to win out if they want to make the playoffs and given how the Majors fared against Edison, I think Hayfield goes 1-0 this week.

4. Lake Braddock (-50) @ Woodson
- As I said, Woodson has been outscored 252 to 13 the last 4 weeks and now they get a pissed off Bruin squad coming off a loss… I’m sure Henderson is regretting leaving Hayfield.

5. Langley @ Herndon (-7)
- Can the Hornets make it 7 in a row? I believe so. I think this score will be similar to the Herndon v. Yorktown score. Langley is sneaky tough, but I like the Hornets in this one.

6. Madison (-42) @ South Lakes
- Going to be another tough week for the Seahawks as they face their toughest challenge yet.

7. McLean @ Washington-Lee (-24)
- Not much to say here, expect the Generals to win big.

8. Oakton @ Centreville (-40)
- Running clock in the 2nd half, a chance for the Isaiah Ragland and his teammates to pad their stats.

9. Potomac Falls @ Stone Bridge (-28)
- Will the Bulldogs get back to their ways? (In terms of beating everyone by 50+) Side note and totally unrelated but I hope Mickey doesn’t duck Freedom and schedules them again next year.

10. South County (-28) @ T.C. Williams
- I think the Titans will hang around in the first half before the Stallions pull away for a big win in the 2nd half.

11. Stuart @ Annandale (-10)
- Look for the Atoms to continue to beat up on the bottom feeders of the National District.

12. Wakefield @ Marshall (-40)
- Again, nothing to say here. Statesmen win big.

13. West Potomac @ West Springfield (-17)
- Co-Game of the Week. The Wolverines’ athleticism is going to have to be one of the things that keeps them in this one. If I’m WP, on offense I would try to establish long drives that run a lot of clock with hopes of keeping the ball out of the hands of the Spartans potent offense. With that being said, I think the Spartans take care of business at home.

14. Westfield (-21) @ Chantilly
- Expecting a big bounce back win for the Bulldogs this week against a Chantilly team that is not very good.

I'm not going to be so tribal and blindly pretend that the Chargers will win out, but I have reason to believe that Chantilly really is recovering from their injury issue.

For instance, #79 - a Senior DT for the chargers who was a varsity starter since his sophomore year - returned to play against Oakton; with that and, finger-crossed, OT #77 returning for the Westfield game on Friday, I wouldn't be surprised if my Chargers make this game a lot closer.

Don't forget also that this Westfield team also only beat the 1-7 Statesmen by only two point - two points! If that Westfield shows up to face a fully recovered Chantilly team, who knows what can happen.

That said, I totally understand where your spread is coming from.

My weekly review of how I did with my picks. Also, I'll mention that I have two season wide predictions. First, I predicted when Woodson was 3-1 that they would not win another game this season. I'm still on course for that one. Second, last week, I predicted that Herndon would win out. I'm on course for that one, and I stand by that prediction.

Also, to your point about the spreads, I think what matters is consistency on both sides. If I take a favorite to both win and cover, I count my pick against the spread to be correct if the favorite wins by the exact amount of the spread (or more). If I take a favorite to win, but not cover, I consider that pick (against the spread) correct only if the underdog wins outright, or the favorite wins by a margin that is less than (and not less than or equal to) your published spreads. That came into play this week. For those who want to play like they do in Vegas, just assume that when the spread is 14 points for example, I'm picking as if the spread were 13 1/2.

I took Falls Church to win outright. This counts as wrong straight up, but correct against the spread.

Just the reverse here. I took Centreville to win, but not cover. Correct straight up, wrong against the spread.

Correctly picked Chantilly to both win and to cover. I don't know what I was afraid of.

I hedged this one, taking Lake Braddock to win, but not to cover, making my straight up wrong, but correct against the spread. I still have this image from 4-5 years ago from when Fairfax was just simply awful, and I have trouble wrapping my mind around the fact that they are actually good (and currently sitting in first place in the Occoquan district standings.
>
> 5. Hayfield (-49) @ Lee

No pick with a spread >35 points. I characterized this as a second "bye" week for Hayfield, and that seems to be correctly. Glad Hayfield's sophomores got some playing time.
>
> 6. Herndon (-17) @ McLean
> - Herndon won and covered, 49-7. 6 in a row for

Correctly picked Herndon to win and cover. As I said above, I think Herndon is going to win out. Good for them.
>
> 7. Marshall @ Langley (-15)
> - Langley won 35-20, nailed this one.

Great call on the spread. For my part, I took Langley to win, but not cover. By the rule that I apply (see above), I'm counting this as an incorrect call against the spread. If I had taken Langley to win and cover, I'd give myself credit for calling both sides correctly.

Correctly picked Edison to win and cover. I thought they would cover a 10 point spread, but I didn't think they would win by much more. Edison has been impressive thus far. This win, coupled with other results, has vaulted Edison into 6th place in the Occoquan Region playoff standings. I had thought it would be necessary for Edison to beat Hayfield in 2 weeks to make the playoffs, but now I'm not so sure (and I think National will end up sending both Edison and Hayfield).

No pick with a spread >35 points. A couple of weeks ago, South County beat Woodson by "only" 35. Wonder if they are a bit embarrassed that they didn't win by more?
>
> 10. South County (-24) @ West Potomac

Correctly picked South County to win, but I thought they would cover. Got that part of the pick wrong.
>
> 11. T.C. Williams @ West Springfield (-14)
> - The Spartans won and covered, 34-3.

Correctly picked West Springfield to both win and cover. This was an expensive loss for TCW. This loss dropped them from 7th to 9th in the playoff standings, which is outside the playoffs. They do have one more win on their schedule, their season finale against Woodson, but I don't think that one win will be enough to get them in. I think they're going to have to beat South County to make the playoffs. And I think that will be tough.

No pick with the spread > 35 points. The fact that Yorktown let off the gas (and hopefully put their sophomores in) is why I don't pick when the spread is >35 points. Too many variable.

Correctly picked W-L to both win and cover.

My picks for this week's action.

I'm going to flush the image of Fairfax circa 5 years ago out of my mind, and take Fairfax to both win and cover. On paper, this should be easy, because Fairfax beat Lake Braddock by 15, and LB is better than Robo (this year, at least). With those measuring sticks, this should be an easy pick.
>
> 2. Falls Church (-35) @ Lee
> - Yes, the Jags are bad but the only way I don’t

By making the spread 35, and not more than 35, I'm forced to make a pick. Falls Church is bad, but I have to remember that Lee is in a different category of bad. So, somewhat reluctantly, I'll take Falls Church to win and to cover.
>
> 3. Hayfield (-14) @ Mount Vernon
> - Hayfield has to win out if they want to make the

Hayfield wins and covers. I think Mt. Vernon is all but eliminated from the playoffs, and I think Hayfield is better, and by about this margin. This will set up a showdown the following week in the Bird bowl, though I don't think it will be the elimination game that I though it would be about 2 weeks ago, meaning that I expect both Hayfield and Edison to make the playoffs.
>
> 4. Lake Braddock (-50) @ Woodson

No pick with the spread >35 points. One comment I'll make in Woodson's defense (I do tend to pick on them a bit, and I feel a little bad about that), is that Woodson does have some history of playing well against Lake Braddock. That might hold down Braddock's margin of victory. But no way does Lake Braddock lose.

Herndon is going to win out. I stand by that. Herndon wins and coers.

I'm a little surprised that this spread is this high, but no pick with the spread >35 points.

W-L wins and covers.

Stone Bridge wins and covers.

South County wins and covers, and, by doing so, effectively eliminates TCW from the playoffs. I'm confident on the win part, the spread is a bit tricky though.
>
> 11. Stuart @ Annandale (-10)
> - Look for the Atoms to continue to beat up on the

A look at the current Occoquan region standings shows Stuart (and not Lee) currently in last place. That's deceptive, because there is no way that Stuart is as bad as Lee. I think this will be a close game. Annandale wins, doesn't cover.

Marshall will win, but given their 1-7 record, I'm not sure they are 40 points better. Still, consistent with my policy, no pick against a >35 point spread.

You're a bit more bullish on West Potomac than I am. West Springfield wins and covers.

If reports about Chantilly's injury bug are correct, that might explain their mid-season swoon. This is a big spread if they are getting their guys back. I'll hedge here. Westfield wins, doesn't cover.

I was not there but was texting with a friend who was. The first score update I had was Madison 7-3 with about 5 minutes left in the half, and Madison driving. They eventually scored to go up 14-3 with about 5 minutes left in the half. On the next Madison series they went for a 4th and 5 at the Westfield 40 that failed, giving Westfield a chance with not much time remaining in the half, and Westfield did score on a long pass play to make it 14-10 at halftime. Madison then scored first in the second half to go up 21-10. Wish there was a camera on this one because Westfield had an INT waved off that kept the Madison drive alive, Madison then blocked a Westfield FG. Westfield scored later in the game to pull within 21-16. I am assuming they went for two to get it to a 3 point spread, but it failed.

Chantilly has no injury bug. 77 is now 33 and playing TE.
