Here's my weekly review of how I did picking against your spreads. Thank you again for posting these week in and week out. Also, I think you deserve a shout out on this week's set of spreads. I think many of the games were inherently hard to handicap. Yet, your spreads hit the mark, or pretty close to it in many cases. Well-done!

As per my policy, no pick where the spread is >35 points. Having said that, this spread was obviously not high enough, but I frankly don't know how you can go much higher on a spread.

Correctly picked Chantilly to both win and cover. This spread is an example of what I was talking about above.

Correctly picked Robo to win. That was the easy part. However, I took them to cover, and I missed that by one point. When I first saw this, I wondered why you didn't assign >35 to this, but you obviously had a hunch that Edison could hang better with Robo, and the result shows it. Edison is not a powerhouse by any means, but they do seem to be punching above their weight this season. Maybe they'll get a breakthrough win later this season?

No pick here.

I correctly took West Springfield to win, but it seems that I either underestimated West Springfield (likely due to their close win last week aginst W-L) overestimated Hayfield, which lead me to think that West Springfield wouldn't cover, which I got wrong. When you think you have the pecking order figured out, there comes a surprising result, though this one wasn't the most surprising this week.

Correctly picked Madison to win and to cover.

Correctly picked Woodson to both win and to cover. I do feel bad for Lee, but I think Edison has similar issues as Lee, but they seem to be doing more with their "less" than Lee does. As four Woodson, congratulations on capping off your winning streak. The question for Woodson is whether they are prepared for their impending losing streak. FWIW, I was predicting it would be six games, but I'm waivering a bit on that. It might be only five.

No pick against a >35 point spread.

Correctly picked South Lakes to win and to cover.

Correctly picked Stone Bridge to win and to cover.

To answer your question, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE can HONESTLY say they saw this coming. If they said they did, they're lying. I took TCW to win and cover, so obviously I got both ends of this pick wrong. This is the kind of game that will have ripple effects beyond just this week. Herndon has been quietly building to this, and I think they'll avoid the cellar of Liberty. TCW may not be as good as we thought, and I think we may need to put them on upset alert for their season-ending game against Woodson (which will allow Woodson to limit their losing streak to five).

> 12. Washington-Lee (-21) @ Wakefield
> - WL blanked Wakefield, 39-0.
Correctly picked W-L to win and to cover. North Arlington Football is performing very well, better than expected, this season. South Arlington? Eh, not so much.
>
> 13. West Potomac (-7) @ Mount Vernon
> - Nailed this one! West Potomac won, 35-28.
Correctly picked West Po to win and cover (barely got the cover). I saw parts of the broadcast of this game, and it looked like a fantastic game.

> 14. Westfield (-7) @ Yorktown
> - Great game. Westfield won 20-17 in OT. 100%

Correctly picked Westfield to win, but I also thought they would cover, so I got that part of the pick wrong. Yorktown led at half in this game, and they have to feel bad about losing, though congratulations to Westfield for the comeback. Definitely game of the week, along with West Po and Mount Vernon.
