Drug testing

I just lost my job yesterday, and I haven't exactly been clean lately. What customer service type jobs in the Chantilly area don't test?

I think there is that nice McDonalds over there at Greenbrier where you might fit in nicely flipping burgers. You may have to learn a little Spanish, however. If that's not up your alley, maybe you could get a job at the gas station? If all else fails, I think Bob Evans gets a government kick back for hiring work release convicts from the jail. Keep up your current lifestyle and maybe the Pre-Release center at the Adult Dentention Center could help you get in at Bob Evans?

Good luck, and most of all, have fun! Hope ruining your life if well worth the drugs, pal!

The Fairfax Towne Center theater gave me the boot. Long story; I didn't deserve it.

I was anti-drug, but I succumbed to peer pressure like they warn you about when you're in third grade.

I didn't get busted. I'm away from home at the moment so I'm posting from my PSP, but when I can get to a keyboard I'll tell the story of what got me canned.

Hacked firmware, but no Linux. Maybe the next update will add T9...

I'm at a keyboard now.

So one of my coworkers was telling me about how some girl's car stalled out in the Wendy's drive-thru earlier in the day and how he started laughing at her. She heard him and flipped him off. My retard coworker's response was "Nice car, how many dicks did you have to suck to buy it?" That offended me, because it seemed absurd to me that anyone would even think to say something like that. I kicked the guy in the nuts pretty hard, since that's what the girl would've done if my coworker wasn't in his car.

so did the dude whom you kicked take it to the management? hell even if i was in 3rd grade getting submitted to peer pressure i would go to the teacher and say mom, johhny kicked me in the balls. what a dick. (pun intended)

  1. dont do "what [a] girl" would do.
  2. i would have pressed charges against you
  3. you deserved to be fired.
  4. normally people will respond with, "fuck you, bitch." which has no lasting effect really but it's tit-for-tat.
  5. i personally like responding to face to face insults in a very serious manner because they dont see it coming (eg: "none, why would anyone do that?"). if you can think of it, throw in wit and then laugh, it's a bonus. eg: "you suck dicks to buy things? we use money."

bottom line: what you did was wrong, you got what you deserved.

fyi, 7-eleven has fulltime and partime openings.

I just did a drug test for my clearance, and one of the boxes on the form that the nurse filled out was "is sample between 97-99 degrees" or something like that, obviously to foil people who bring in someone else's piss, you could heat it up but you usually have to wait a while to get the test done.

I dunno... I mean, it's kind of weird that Durk is giving men massages, but if it's been a long day and he's good at giving a massage, I wouldn't mind.

Besides, if he tried anything funny, I'd kick him in the nuts.

It was not that long ago that Tower Records would give anyone a job. They were truly the "employer of last resort".

Go to the yellow pages and look for couriers. They do not screen. You are an independent contractor. And you get to drive around all day. They will take anyone.

Another option is moving companies. Shit work, but for residential moves the customer usually buys you lunch and you get a $20 tip at the end of the day.

Welcome back, Nik. I have missed your posts. Do you still play video games?
About the drug testing. I think urine drug screens are being replaced by saliva tests. A saliva test is done right in front of a tester. You put a small stick inside your cheek area for about 3 minutes. Then you just put the stick into a small vial and it will be tested for nearly every substance. They are more accurate, easier for screeners to handle and the saliva test can be done right in front of the tester without a loss of privacy ( plus you cannot substitute someone else's saliva.) My suggestion to you would be to knock off the drugs and try to get another job. Try to keep your temper in check and don't let other people's comments get to you. Good luck. You seem like such a sweet boy.

Hugs,
Trickie

my friend got past the temperature problem with the vial of urine by using a hand warmer. Just wrap the vial in it and it gets to the temp.

Hard to believe 7-11 can afford to be so selective.. the one at clifton/stringfellow and 29 is ALWAYS hiring for multiple positions.

The 7-11s have multiple cameras. At least one camera for the person paying at the register and one camera for the person behind the register. You would be amazed if you knew how much cash goes through a typical 7-11 on a daily basis. That is why they have time locked safes and so many cash handling procedures.

One druggie could walk away with 1000s in a single day if given the chance.

wait, so he said he did drugs once or twice w/ friends, not taht he is a continual user.

i hate all the new ppl at the 29/Clifton 7-11. To fill up your extreme gulp/other large insulated slurpee container that you bought from them for 7.99 is 84 cents. Now all the new dumbasses behind the counter cant figure out how to ring it up and charge you 1.32. And of course they dont speak english.

I never understood the drug thing. I tried a few in my youth and honestly would rather have a beer, or better yet a case of beer.

I have a friend whose son was accepted into the Air Force, and unlike the Army, they're pretty selective. So this numbskull can't even lay off the weed for a month or however long it takes to leave your system. He gets to Texas for basic training...has a positive drug test and they send him home.

He's back to delivering pizzas.

Thanks for the advice, Trickie. Out of everyone who posts on this forum, I think you might be the only one who's always level-headed, and I respect that.

I think I may actually stop smoking up. All it does is make shitty music sound good, make McDonald's taste better, and make it harder to get a job.

-Helps MAKE good music
-McDonalds never tastes good
-Makes good food taste better
-Good for relaxing (as is beer, agreeably)
-Gives you magical gaming power (i swear!)

and if you know how to play your cards right, does not effect getting a job...
