I haven't seen the newest update to the site, but as they've stated on the podcast, the regular podcast is going to remain free. They had mentioned charging for bonus content in previous podcasts. Something like Rally the Hoard or any Bonus Hours could be part of the subscription, and maybe some of their archived shows.

Hopefully this will just be a short term thing, as it looks like they're getting the show ready for shopping it around again.

I'll probably wind up downloading the podcast later on though.

I went ahead and set up a paypal account and downloaded it.

They started out with about 5 minutes of first hand accounts about how the FBI has busted people for illegal downloads and how Oscar can track peoples' activity on the website....

And it was hysterically funny. It was a lot of making fun of each other which always amuses me.

There wasn't much talk of Chad's beef with other 106.7, just a little. It was still the same basic BOAD as always but probably the funniest one I have listened to.

Went ahead and bought the bonus hour,,,

It was no better than the show you get for free,,,and now like the MOM podcast,,
the free podcast will not contain foul language etc,,,you have to pay to hear them say "fuck" now.

The $99 price tag kinda threw me off too. I was hoping to try one out through iTunes but they are probably not running it to avoid the 70/30 split. Sucks because i have around $100 of unused iTunes credit and refuse to purchase the MOTM extra content.I think the boys are tightening up ship to prepare to shop the show around and not have to use old content to show the can work clean and FCC compliant. Also Adam has talked about legit sponsors being unwilling to sponsor his show because of language.
On the Film Vault last week they talked about how Netflix is unwilling to come on as a sponsor until they stop swearing. Brian says they can casually swear but would have to refrain from fuck and especially cunt. Netflix will run a banner add but is unwilling to be a real paying sponsor otherwise. I think with the boys demographic and new approach they will receive real sponsors before MOTM.

There were funny parts, but it felt like they were saving some stuff for the bonus hour,,,but this show didn't make me want to buy the bonus hour,,,I still may but not until the disappointment of this show wears off

I went ahead and got it also,,,more than I needed to know about Sven and his activities,,kinda scary

Overall I thought it was pretty funny, and like you said it is supporting the show

Agreed. they need a full-time radio gig where they can include callers and have more than 1 hour. It takes them a while to hit their stride. this 1 hour per week shit doesn't show off the real talent BOAD has. So now it's a show where people basically say how great Chad is and then do shtick. I know Sven is gay it isn't interesting. Do I really need to hear about their vacation?

Once I heard that Chad was bringing on Robb Stark to Rally the Horde, I checked out. That guy is such a douche, and is a big influence on how Chad treats many of his fans. Robb stark ruled the No Shtick Zone like a power-crazed dictator, and I thought he was out after Chad had that rant against him on a previous podcast.

I agree, Rally the Horde is better with fans behind the mics. O and D really don't like getting criticized.

2) Sports Entertainment Wrestling is only interesting if you are 13, white, and have a mullet, oh and if it is 1984. The reason the Main Street's downloads are so few is because NOBODY THAT CAN READ AND LIVES IN THE DC AREA GIVES A SHIT ABOUT 'ROID'ED OUT MUSCLE MEN ROLLING AROUND ON A MAT. That is, unless you also enjoy going to the Crew Club.

3) He seems to be unable to learn from criticism / viewpoints different than his. BOAD made an ancillary show that was mostly fan run and the goal was to have the fans talk about the BOAD show from the perspective of the uber-fan. Well, that show was made and when the fans gave their take on an event that happened on the MOM podcast, where the fans did not have 100% of the information, Chad flipped out. It is like letting a fox guard the hen house; you are an idiot if you are surprised that the fox may eat some hens. There was podcast drama and the uber-fans lapped it up. Chad (the idiot) is surprised that these uber-fans were not privy to all of the non-broadcasted events.

4) I've found that if you aren't using Twitter as a RSS aggregater than you are most likely morbidly self-obsessed

THAT is when RTH was cool. The problem is Chad got all offended because they didn't kiss his ass enough so he stuck Sven on it and ditched one of the first guys. When the fans gave their perspective of things it was interesting. Hearing Chad's friends talk about how great he is or about their vacation together is pretty uninteresting as a whole.

Chad is generally really intelligent when it comes to radio but he misfired like crazy on this one.

I think there's a pretty interesting (for a podcast, at least) parallel to draw between Chad's feud with Othello and Blueshorts, and his handling of the Rally the Horde podcast. His fight with those 2 basically came down to him being mad that they didn't kiss his ass enough. It seems like he had the same problem with the Rally the Horde podcast... and went and replaced those guys with 2 more of his "friends." It seems like that for Chad, being his "friend" really means being his super fan. Either you do it and take the company line, or you're the enemy. It's pretty... insane. And pathetic.

Notice, when everyone loved the new podcast this thread was dead, a post or two a week,,,

An active thread on FFXU is a sure sign something is going wrong and needs to be fixed quick

Donnie G went through this phase and now his thread is quiet again,,,a sure sign entertainment has returned to his show

The fans didn't change the shows did in both cases

Still love the Big O and Dukes and I think the show will improve to it's original quality

1. They have only done one 'celebrity' RTH - this could have been done for scheduling reasons. To say Chad isn't getting his ass kissed enough is conjecture at this point.

2. It would be a shame if they didn't switch it back to listeners doing RTH.

3. I would like to listen to a Sven/Zohan/Dan Creasy spin off show as a separate entity - but they are not part of the Horde. They are tertiary characters. We are the Horde.

4. Of course Chad is a egomaniac... so what? It's part of what makes him funny. He can go from self deprecation to Lord Dukes in the same sentence.

In terms of 1, Chad removed people the last 2 weeks. Ironically this was the single worst RTH by far. And wasn't it funny that he removed a guy and inserted Sven and just went on about how Sven was the only 'sane' or 'good' person there. Then he went and removed the rest of them so he could get the highest amount of ass kissing.

Drab is Gay

RTH was awful, I mentioned this to the BOAD twitter feed, suggesting that they return to the random horde listeners and was told to "leave the driving" to them. Unfortunately, Dukes and his massive ego are driving the show right off the cliff. BOAD have officially jumped the shark.

Bottom line, if you are unwilling to kiss the ass of Dukes he does not want to know what you have to say. That way of thinking is exactly why BOAD is off the air and will probably never return. I will never pay one penny for that podcast and probably won't download the freebies anymore.

And Dukes, you egomaniac, I know you're reading this.. go screw.

I actually have no real motivation to buy another extra show. RTH seems to be tanking it and I'm getting tired of Chad the sex offender getting so dominating and controlling.

So Chad posted a picture on facebook today of a shipping label. On that label was a phone number belonging to one Matthew Cahill. So, if anyone wants to give him a call, his phone number is: ... yeah, i'm not going to give it to you animals.

This weeks show was a return to form,,,no bitching,and less pitching of the reloaded podcast,,,

Reloaded show this week was good. It was worth the $3 in my opinion. Still a little bit more about Sven but all told it ws a good show.

I've heard him say that he is 5'8" on a several occasions.

I've also heard him say that he was 265#'s in a podcast several months ago and after that he said that he was going to try to make a serious effort to loose weight and he did not really want to talk about it.

So who know what that means. I hope this is not a new pic cause this is probably the fattest I've ever seen him look.

It's how god damn round he is. I'm 5'9 and I can't imagine what weighing 265 would feel or look like. But I guess I'd look as fat as that.

His tweets are actually him though, not some shtick. He really isn't, with few exceptions, doing any of them to troll anyone or get any mention on OaA.

He really is insecure about people being his 'friends' and he really is that demanding and somewhat crazy.

First, he really does have a hatred of women.

Second, when he goes all in to something (being Irish), he REALLY goes all in.

Did anybody here listen to the Irish-American band podcast?

I thought it was OK. I think Chad is kind of out of his mind trying to start a band but at least his expectations/hope of what will happen is reasonable. His highest aspiration is to play at a bar in Georgetown/Adams Morgan and HFS Festival.

Ok, I take that back. HFS Festival is for real bands and they have no business being on stage there but playing at a bar with 30 people who don't even care about the music is probably OK.
