No they did a thing about MMA and football and Lavar said he could beat Brock Lesnar and there wasnt a UFC HW that could dominate him because his wrestling is as good as theres cus he played in the nfl

Almost any HW would destroy Lavar especially when your talking about the upper level guys like a Lesnar. Id say 80-90 percent of middle weights in the UFC would destroy lavar and that theres even some bantom weights that would punish him. The guy isnt a fighter, hes just an idiot who think football players are better than any other athlete on the planet.

Also, I always figured Dukes would be the type to vomit at people who write the word "lyfe" in anything. I know I do.

I loved the Sexy Nayte episode. It reminded me of the old show they had. They bashed the guy for over an hour. I thought it was great radio. You can't say you didn't laugh at the outrageous stories.

I can see why they had to do a mini series on him. I think they're building a new character for the show. I wonder if that guys voice really sounds like a child molester. I guess we'll have to wait till episode 3.

They are beyond phoning it in, they are now just spitting across the road at us.

I know some people over at Jammin' Java, and suffice it to say; they're not the types who enjoy schticky podcasts made by, and produced for, fatass radiophiles and podcast afficianados. Yes it did. See the picture on the 25 page of the thread. Chad dressed as a christmas tree blew his load watching two guys make out on stage. Thank you FB feed for seeing that beauty pop up

Yeah, that was a great picture. It really captured a moment in time. I think its more of less understood that Dukes goes both ways.

It just hit me. Dukes is the Tom Cruise of radio. What I mean by this is that even though Cruise is a good actor and makes a lot of good movies hes such a dbag in real life that it makes even the best of his movies hard to watch as you cannot see him really being like his role. All you can think of is what a baby he is and how hes nothing like what hes portraying in the movie. No matter what BOAD does it has forever been ruined by what a dbag chad is. Even a lot of the most hardcore of fans (aside from the ones who suck up too him all the time) would have trouble listening because of what a miserable person he really is.

Solid comparison there. Dukes obviously is a good radio guy. I mean, shit, he CARRIES 5 hours of radio per day with Lavar. Granted some of the content gets a little thin at times but still.

CBS clearly values him too. The dude publicly shits all over his current job and get caught shitting on his co-host (and that's just the stuff we know about), makes it clear he will leave the second BOAD is picked up and still gets a new contract when there are plenty of "career sports guys" that would love his spot and probably do it for less and without creating twitter petitions bitching about not having an office. Granted going WAY back with CK must help a lot.

The question (to me, at least) has never been about Dukes' ability to entertain people but rather why, somewhere along the way he became such a bitter prick.

The only thing I would disagree with is saying hes a solid sports radio guy. Granted the show is much better when its him and someone else as opposed to him and lavar, but honestly the same can be said about lavar without him. Im not a lavar fan by any means but for whatever reason those two together just make each other worse and their dislike of each other is really reflected in the quality of the programing.

Chad can be good on radio but sports isnt the niche for him to excel unless you consider his wrestling show sports talk. If he were to stop being such a whiny prick he could eventually change his image, but I dont think that its a secret and the damage has been done that may never be able to be undone.

In fact, I can't remember having ever heard him say anything about sports that I considered the even the least bit insightful but I don't think people give him enough credit for simply making that show function given what he's working with.

I guess where we disagree is that I think chad's ability to make that show work in spite of LaVar actually takes skill in-and-of-itself. Not necessarily "sports" knowledge (which Chad has very little of) but an inherent ability to mold a block of shit (Lavar's radio skills) into something that gets ratings, which I guess it does. Maybe you're right that Kushner or Bill Roland or Scott Jackson could replace Chad and the show would be the same or even better but I don't think the Suits at CBS see it that way or else he would have been replaced by now (just look at Drab)

But I will also readily admit that I don't listen to The Fan often enough to really have a good feel for which people work the best together. My opinion was largely formed by looking at CBS's decision to resign Chad. But bad decisions all made all the time and its certainly possible that keeping those two together was one of them.

I actually used to agree with that 100 percent and you may be right about the CBS part, they obviously value him enough to resign him but it cant be that much since he didnt get an office. I dont catch bits of the lavar and dukes show daily but Ive herd a fair share of it when I dont feel like listening to music or they have a good guest on.

But I did used to agree that the ability Chad had from before helped the show. What changed my mind though was I happened to catch a show where someone was filling in for Chad with Lavar and the weird part was Lavar was no where near as terrible with them as he is with Chad. I dont think Lavar or Chad is especially great at sports radio, but together they are just a train wreck.

Chad isnt terrible when theirs a different cohost and lavar is a lot better with a different one too. When chad isnt there Lavars rants are usually shorter or the other person will cut him off and move the topic along. I really do think that the awfulness of that show is mostly from the pairing. Chad obviously doesnt like Lavar and Lavar probably has little to no respect for chad and his sports knowledge so I dont know if he feels that its his job to just dominate the conversation because of that or he just does it because he can but whatever it is its us the listener who pays the price if you dont feel like listening to music at that moment.

Hopefully CBS will figure it out. Their ratings are somewhere in the 15-22 range I think and really with that time slot you should be a top 10 show, I know the junkies rate higher somehow and wise or bill rohland rates higher too I believe for CBS shows alone. Apart they can both make listenable shows (which is hard to believe with how they are together) but I would agree keeping them teamed together was a bad decision.

When the smoke clears and its all said and done, I believe Lavar will put hands on Dukes and they will have to be separated by several onlookers. Their hate for one another is palpable.

Just to clarify a bit MD is one of the hardest states to get a CC. Even though they are a may-issue state in practice they are a no issue state since basically every application is turned down. Only illinois and DC are officially no issue places aside from some large cities but MD, NJ, HI are basically no issue unless your a LEO or in hawaii active duty military. CA is all over the board with how they issue them as a may issue state depending on what sheriff department you would be asking

Chad wouldn't DARE hit LaVar. Ive always wondered how good he actually is with them. Ive never herd of him having a CC or anything and kind of get the impression hes just one of those guys with a bunch of guns and no ammo since he just thinks theyre cool but never uses them or hes the guy that fires them occasionally and never cleans them

I've heard him talk about carrying a gun in public once. Back when BOAD was on nights at JFK, they were talking about getting ripped off by people. There is no way I remember this perfectly but I feel like Oscar was talking about getting screwed out of a lot of $$ by his roommate and Drab was talking about buying a car that he found out was stolen or something.

Anyway, Chad told a story about a time he bought a video game off eBay or Craig's List and went to meet up with the dude carrying a gun just in case. He gets to the agreed upon meet-up spot and after a few minutes some shady looking black guy arrives and hands Chad what was, if anything, a pirated version of the game (apparently that’s not what they agreed on). Chad told the guy no deal and of course the guy argued and said the copy was legit or whatever. Dukes went on to say that had he not been armed he might have just paid the guy to avoid a potentially violent altercation if this guy was a nut.

But Strapped-Dukes held his ground and the other guy let it go at that without incident. That seems like just the type of situation where having a CC permit is (potentially) useful.

The first podcast of BOAD I heard was when Oscar sold his PS3 to the Jamaican dude and he had a butcher knife under his car seat at Tyson's Corner...

Thats definitely one time its potentially useful. Not sure where he ended up meeting the guy but with everything thats been happening with those sales the best places to meet are by far and away a very public place ideally one the cops drive by a lot.

While the butcher knife story looking back on it is a funny story to tell im not sure what exactly he was going to do with it if the guy did pull a gun on him to rob him ect

Yeah, I was thinking the exact same thing. Tuning into WJFK at night when I didnt even know who they were and hearing them for the first few times was great. They quickly became my favorites on that station. And that Oscar story is another classic.

So does anyone hear reloaded?

The first time I heard them I was over by Fair Oaks mall driving somewhere and heard two guys talking about moving here from Phoenix and one guy just "had" to buy a big bubble North Face jacket for $400 and the other guy was making fun of him for doing it. Another early show I remember was when they were trying to get people to bring gym equipment down the station so they could put a gym together.

I listened to a little bit of 106.7 yesterday and Dukes was solo, and I guess he was just killing time by having people call in with embarrassing things they like to do. Dukes was self-deprecating and actually being cordial to the callers. It was like the old show a bit for one segment anyway. Then they had another generic sports columnist calling in for the next segment so I went back to my own music.

All that segment was missing was Oscar and Drab.

anyway you cut the pie, the show sucks. I use to love the show back in the day but now it's just pathetic, sad, and just sucks.

My wife bought me one for Xmas, and I activated it last night. I used to have one, but the radio broke a while back. I'm looking forward to hearing some good talk radio in addition to a few podcasts I'll still d/l.

Compared to paying for Reloaded, it is a bargain. I got a year of XM Premier for $115 after taxes. That is 140 channels including Stern and O&A for less than 4 episodes of Reloaded. I'm pretty sure Oscar and Chad have satellite, and I'm not sure how they didn't see that comparison when pricing Reloaded.

You are correct, they are indeed at Hard Times in Fairfax. I bet a few people yell at him or make snide comments. It's not like LaVar is going to have his back in case someone says something really bad to him.

What exactly is supposed to be funny about gay sex in general? The vast majority of hook up stories gay or straight in general just arent funny at all. They may be good drinking conversation with friends in small doses, but no one wants to hear about that all the time unless something absurd happened

Cakes' report on what Reloaded is "offering" this week yet again sums up why this show is on it's death bed.

I'm guessing this is a Chad thing with the thinking that hearing Sven talk about getting laid is something his audience wants to hear. I can't imagine Oscar or Drab pushing for this topic in a pre-show meeting.

By "wrist watch", I assume you are talking about Dick Smoker's watch and if so, the show has a hit a new low. Charging people to hear stories from two tertiary characters guys? Come on.

The "Sexy Nayte" episode has been taken down. I wonder why. It was the best episode they've done in a year or so.

What was Sexy Nayte. I had it in my iTunes que and deleted it not knowing what it was.

That was a mistake, Movie magic. It was basically Chad and crew talking about how weird this guy Nayte was. Apparently, they're eventually going to confront the guy in the next episode, but now that the first one has been taken down, who knows. Maybe "Nayte" freaked the fuck out. In any event, the episode was just like their old show, but instead of making fun of Drab, Chad was making fun of Nayte.

Oh well, I guess it has now become part of the BOAD lore and will be one of the "lost episodes".

I wonder if Dukes will ever comment on it, or explain after all the hype he did about it beforehand.

On the new show, "Kris Humphries," Chad says that on reloaded they will talk "in very vague terms" about why they recently had to take down a show from bigoanddukes.com. I'd love to know why they took it down, but I can't afford reloaded. If anyone buys it, could you fill the rest of us in?

Damn, I never listened to the Big Sexy Nayte episode but now I wish I had. So did this guy freak the fuck out or something? Or maybe Chad was shitting on JFK and he got scared and took it down. Is this simply a case of Chad bringing in somebody to the inner circl and then realizing the guy is crazy and then trying to cut all ties with him?

We don't know what happened, but presumably Chad will address it on reloaded. But my guess is that Nayte freaked out. From their descriptions of him on the "Big Sexy Nayte" episode, the guy seemed really fucking weird. Think Drab times 10.

Was the free episode funny?

As a matter of fact, now that I think about it, that's why the episode was so good. It reminded me of the old show when Oscar and Dukes would bust Drab's balls for some weird thing that he had done. This episode was like that, except this guy seemed odd in a way that far surpassed DUI T-shirt.

The free episode this week was okay. Not their best, but at least the minor characters weren't involved. That said, Chad did say that in addition to addressing the Sexy Nayte episode, part of reloaded was going to deal with Sven's sexual habits. And no, I'm not kidding, that was actually part of his pitch.

I got sucked in and bought reloaded to hear why it was taken down. Chad said they will never do a part 2 and that the entire project (the Nayte story) will never be revisited again, nor will he be mentioned again on the show.

I think they found out that Nayte is legitimately crazy and has some serious mental health issues. Chad either felt really bad for him or was actually scared by him.

Sucks because it really was their best episode in a long time.

And the Sven stuff is about what you think it would be. He had sex. Chad let the door open unintentionally for a bit when he said he really wished more people were gay. I mean Chad was really into the story (he absolutely would not be if it were a hetero story).

In the end, I paid 2.99 for a 3-4 minute explanation for Nayte's episode being pulled down.

Great. So finally the show stumbles upon something actually interesting and salacious, and they balk at pursuing it. Nobody stopped to think "Hey, wouldn't it be some great publicity/material for the show if Nasty Nayte, (or whichever bottom-dweller Chad chose to ridicule) actually sued or tried to attack the show in some way?" But naturally, they choose the safe, boring route of the middle of the road. Remember what makes good radio? CONFLICT! This is hot-talk 101 here.

The same idiotic move occurred on the Mike O'Meara Show when a massive car accident occurred right on the very LAWN of Mike's house while they were TAPING the show! Instead of taking the mics outside for some first-hand footage/interviews/something potentially interesting, they chose to cut taping and then barely mention the event on the next show.

Just more and more proof that these shows exist to entertain and stroke the egos of the hosts FIRST (read: Mike and Chad), and serve the audience second.

Chad mentioned that it (continuing the story) could have some very detrimental consequences for the show. I'd like to think Chad wouldn't back down from potential controversy, but on some level it sounds like Nayte maybe threatened litigious action.

Then again, from the podcast itself, it really sounds like Nayte really is not a mentally well person and that all these funny character traits they talked about (and they were hilarious) are actually signs of mental illness. He wasn't being weird as a bit but rather he's a pretty disturbed person.

It sucks because I was actually looking forward to the second and third parts and would have paid for them.

Also, I have the episode still so I might upload it so everyone can hear.
