Its pretty obvious its either Dukes or one of his inner circle trying to make everyone believe it was just one person saying bad things so people think the show is much more popular. They had some data right off hand too that was either made up or exposed them as such. My guess is it was Chad himself. Anyone else notice the spamming was mostly between 2-7pm.

100% simply a fan. I do not know him personally. I've met him at the shows before and had him sign things but nothing more. Been a fan for many many years and I agree with SOME of the constructive criticism here. I'd like to have a place where that can foster. As people point out, I agree that Sven and Zohan likely read this and the critique can be heard. However, it will be ignored if its nothing but personal attacks.

fairfaxunderground will not moderate any posts period. They state it in their sticky. Nothing will ever be deleted or censored. Thats the good - and the bad - about this forum. People in the thread look up to you. As for moderation, I mean simply replying to any hateful thread asking them to be, perhaps, more constructive in their critique.

As for ChadisFat goes, I've pissed him off pretty good today. He may not post for a bit. He can't handle me. =) But I trust you'll find a way to keep the peace.

I've heard about this interview for awhile now. Something about Chad being a degenerate pervert or something? Not that I'd be surprised at such a revelation. But let's return to the constructive criticism as the thread hi-jacker suggested. First: it would not be wise to try to approach Chad at his home. He is seriously armed to the teeth and is likely looking for any excuse to use his surrogate penises to inflict damage.

Dukes decides to try and lose another fan on Twitter last night telling people to block him. Guy that goes by @CraigW_. About 12 hours before he apparently pissed off Chad, the guy was tweeting about listening to Reloaded and even retweeted a post by Rally the Horde. The guy sounds like a big fan. I mean who actually pays attention to Rally the Horde?

I can't see exactly what pissed Chad off (can you delete a tweet? it looks like he did) but here are some of tweets. Craig echoes the sentiment that many people seem to feel these days. It is like Dukes doesn't want to do the show anymore, so he just pisses on people who support it.

They have to know the show is shit at this point. Last I checked, they don't even crack the iTunes Top 100 Comedy chart anymore on a Wednesday. Back when the shows were decent, they were consistently on there every day of the week.

Free clips of Opie and Anthony that haven't been updated since 2008 currently sits at 84. BOAD is at 116. MOMS at 110. I don't think this will get them back on the air, but maybe Dukes doesn't even care about that anymore. Lavar and Dukes can be the next "Mike and Mike", even though that show used to make Dukes want to put "cherry pie" on the wall.

If that’s your position, than not only do I agree with it, I'll even expand on it! Things said about people BESIDES Dukes are nasty too and deserve recognition. Unlike Chad’s Twitter or FB, here, it’s not “all about him”.

Let me just say that I am NOT telling anybody how they should act here and while anyone going through my posting record could surely point out many instances where I have been quite negative (or downright mean) toward Chad, I do try be objective. I am only stating MY positions and reasons for them.

Tertiary characters: (Crecy, Dick Smokehand, Stark and others): As a matter of principal, I never talk negatively about them because, in my opinion, they are “regular Joes” who are not getting PAID for their involvement and probably read this forum. In their position I would be extremely upset reading some of the things posted. I also don’t consider those guys “fair game”. That said, Dukes has said things much nastier and in a far more public capacity about them than ANYTHING said here.

Zohan and Sven: I would characterize their position as slightly different. They are trying to get into the “business”. But, as far as I know, as of now, they are not getting paid, either for their contributions to the BOAD brand. Were I trying to get started; reading what’s written here would be quite hurtful. As such, I (again, personally) refrain from negativity toward them but I do, however, think they are slightly “fairer game” as they are in the industry, so to speak. Again, Chad’s worse to these guys than us.

Finally we get to what I would call “BOAD core”; Chad, Drab and Oscar. In my opinion they are “fair game” here. As Hyman Roth once said, “This is the business we’ve chosen”. But still the rules of decency should apply. As far as Drab and Oscar go; the negativity is quite minimal and rarely, if ever, have I seen anything that I would categorize as having crossed the proverbial line.

Now let’s get the point of all of this (and the cause of your main concern); Dukes. Anyone who reads this thread knows what’s said so I don’t need to rehash it. I posted here what I think is a large portion of the root cause for it. To sum it up, the quality of the show plummeted at the same time that Chad became quite nasty to his fans. I don’t have to rehash that either, do I?

I’ll add one more thing. Chad is the worse type of censor. He has been quite the tyrant in that regard. (Again; not gonna rehash it) Here he has no say whatsoever. As Newton once said; “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction”. (Dukes’ “internet terrorism”) + (intolerance of differing views on the part of listeners) + (deleting posts and FB friends for saying they like Van Halen) = THIS THREAD.

In short, while there are tons of nasty and (presumably) untrue things posted here; that the thread morphed into what it is today; Dukes COMPLETELY brought on himself. It should come as no surprise that something like this sprang up. He planted all the seeds.

@ Ianonymousl : In response to your campaign I personally will reign myself in. There actually was a time when I listened to him and liked him as a person (as hard as that is to believe). Additionally this thread has reached the point where it could be(and probably already is) quite damaging to his online reputation.

But I understand well (as should you) the vitriol here as I have watched over the years the root causes of it sewn by the one who is now on the receiving end of the “internet terrorism”.

I don't take issue with them wanting to make money off the show. Hey, I wouldn't want to work for free either, and there is definitely money to made. They won't be getting rich anytime soon, but maybe Drab could repair his old BMW or pay some vet bills for Troy with it.

The problem is how they do it. A beer tasting segment when you were on 5 hours a day was fine. The only free show of the week spent at Oakton Wine Shop is a slap in the face to your listeners. Get your banner ads. Pimp sponsors for a few minutes at the beginning of the show like they did with that real estate agent. I'm fine with that. Creating the show isn't free. Just don't shove it people's faces as much.

As far as I am concerned, the "commercialization" of BOAD is a secondary issue to the structure of the show's content, as Northman pointed out. A Reloaded that focused entirely on Sven? Yet another "Chad Dukes Outer Banks Trip Recap/Complaint Fest", but its Reloaded now? I'm paying for that? I listen to Big O and Dukes to hear Chad Dukes, Oscar Santana, and Matt Cahill talk amongst themselves on topics. It is what they used to do on the old show. Gaming, politics, entertainment. Heck, I am no People magazine reader, but it was fun to hear them talk about that stuff on WJFK.

It is disappointing to see how far the show has fallen. I used to wonder why they weren't picked up by Sirius or a terrestrial station, and now I wonder why they bother continuing to do the podcast. The show doesn't suck because Dukes is a dick to people on Twitter or Facebook. It sucks because they are mailing it in and seem more focused on launching the radio careers of Sven, Zohan, and Smokehand more than their own. Those guys get more airtime than Oscar and Drab do some weeks.

I read this forum every now and then. I understand why some people disapprove of the direction the show as gone in. I started listening to the show right before the format switch which sucked because I started to really like it. I still listen to the oanddworld.com archived podcasts which keep me entertained. The new podcast form of show is relatively new and I believe we owe them more time to grow accustom to a format that is evolving. Maybe it will never be the same as terrestrial radio but at least they are trying. I certainly don't understand why Chad became such a dick but ill continue to follow what comes of this (without buying reloaded). And this is not Sven or Zohan or whomever.

Fair is fair and I don't think anyone can really tell you that you SHOULDN'T enjoy something. If you like it you like it.

I think Chad is really turning into a total fat shitbag and Oscar just wants to milk any cash he can out of it. So you get whole episodes of Chad acting like a complete 12 year old girl, giant ads or them having no content and pawning the content off on some real awful tertiary characters like Zohan or Sven.

Maybe Drab can get on with that new WTOP competitor as a producer. He can make up for not going to Cleveland like he probably should have. And he'll be on the air as much as he is during an average BOAD podcast these days. I guess Sven is a bigger fan favorite than old Lips Cahill. I mean, that isn't the case for me, but someone must like Sven on the air right?

The only problem with the show right now imo is that they are following Mikes business model but aren't putting enough shows out there to compensate. If they did 5 shows a week, no one would balk at a beer tasting show - although they were spot on with their suggestions and I found it to be very informative. At the same time, they both have full time jobs and oscar works like 25 hours a day already. I dont think they could do 5 a week. Maybe they could record 5 hours on a weekend and put out an hour each day?

Regarding the show, a lot more Drab might occupy some of that hour, unless Chad really is butt-hurt (cheap joke, couldn't resist!) about Drab's girl...

I guess when Buzz heads to the new news station, it might just take care of itself.

That would would be one sorry (and funny) state of affairs. But it will never happen. Chad's, unlike the rest of the Failcast crew, actually has a spot in radio. He's goes on air in Lanham, MD at 2PM. Isn't the Failcast broadcast out of Manassas VA around noon or so?

Logistically impossible. Plus, Dukes' ego would never allow him to play 4th mic on the Failcast. Him and Mike would be at it before the end of the first show.

Another thought about Dukes' increasing dickishness. It really all goes back to the fact that he hates his life doing the LaVar show. He has to hold his tongue for 5 hours a day while LaVar throws support towards Paterno, makes asinine comparisons and conjectures, and displays a general lack of radio talent or ability to exchange the most basic of banter, not to mention taking dozens of call from doofus Redskins fans spouted their frustration at the team. It HAS to wear on him. So in all of his other outlets (Facebook, Twitter, BOAD) he lashes out at people. I haven't listened to the Chad Dukes Wrestling Show but I'm guessing that's where his real passion is now, and BOAD and their increasingly fewer fans are becoming more of an irritation to him than anything else.

Hmm, it sounds like a show I miss hearing on WJFK. I'm no wrestling fan, but hearing Drab and Dukea actually have fun on the air could be worth a listen. Is it funny? Or do they keep it pretty serious, or as serious as you can be considering the topic.

They actually play it pretty seriously. I have come across it a couple of times and I have listened maybe a total of 15 minutes. I don't care for the content, but they do a good job.

They haven't made the move yet? I thought they did that in Oct or so. But I don't listen to that much of The Fan so I don't know.

I'm doing it now. My first IP was blocked now I'm on a new one. Most of my posts are still here. The past 15 were deleted. If the admins will not moderate, I am going to do it. End of story. It is not my perogotive to get into a pissing contest nor is it my preference to destroy this thread as I've said before. I'd prefer it to continue as a place to criticize the show. But the personal attacks stop. The threats to post his address and open him up to harassment stop. To discuss chads weight is not discussing how bad the show is.
