Yeah, as funny as it would be to find out that Dukes is posting on this site, under a screen name of ChadIsFat of all things, I just don't see it. ChadIsFat has has even (on several occasions) posted about times where the real Chad was hitting on his (male) friends at appearances.

I agree that Dukes one fucked up dude (seriously fucked up) but I doubt he would come here and suggest (under an alias) that he is gay.

But I agree this thread is pretty amusing. Most of my posts are related to radio also.

Well apparently this weeks free show is another beer tasting show at "a sponsors location",,,,

What a boring piece of shit,,,I made it 13 minutes and had enough,,,

the free show sucked this week. basically an hour-long ad for the sponsor. I bought reloaded this week just because the brief synopsis someone posted earlier on this thread intrigued me. i have to say i thought it was pretty good. i dont buy reloaded that often, but i dont mind paying $3 once in a while to see whats going on

Full disclosure, I am a fan of BOAD. I listen religiously every week, subscribe to Reloaded, and bought a t-shirt or two. Never been to an appearance, but that's because I live in Columbia, MD. Frankly, I am also really turned off by this whole "Horde" bullshit... they sound like a bunch of dim-witted lemmings. Chad's bit with the quote from 300 at the State Theater was the last straw.

Long story short, I think Chad is insecure, egotistical, hypocritical, and makes EVERYTHING about himself. I also happen to think he can be hysterically funny. In fact, as some have pointed out, a big part of his talent are his monstrous and multiple personality flaws. Back when BOAD was on the radio I used to think it might be cool to hang out with Chad and his crew of miscreants, but I do not think that anymore.

Chad's tendency to surround himself with cowering yes-men and TOTAL inability to take even the slightest hint of criticism is a trait that is only endearing in murderous dictators. Although I follow him on both Twitter and Facebook, I don't ever say anything to him because I am afraid it will lead to him declaring a jihad on me and everyone I have ever known. Not that I am afraid of his tinpot dictator antics, but I do find his shtick amusing on a regular basis and would like to be able to read it.

I also happen to agree that his Internet terrorism is really bad for the BOAD brand, but you cannot tell that to Chad because he believes he knows everything there is to know about radio. God forbid anyone else have an idea about marketing.

Regarding the content of the show... let me say this to Sven or Zohan or any of you other dummies that are likely to read this. While I regularly enjoy hearing about the ridiculous antics of you and your ilk, the request on the part of some contributors to this message board for show content that is unrelated to Dan Creasy's girlfriend's bush is not about jealousy of Chad's miserable existence (by his own admission) or Oscar's metrosexuality. It is about fans who would like to see the brand grow and reach more than the Neanderthal population of Northern Virginia. I cannot recommend the podcast to people I know because 75 percent of every podcast is about DickSmokeHand's disgusting shrew of a girlfriend or the fact that Sven's mother farts constantly. New listeners won't get it!

Of course, that doesn't matter anyways because Chad will just chase any new listeners off the moment they demonstrate a shred of independent thought. And let me reiterate... I could not be less jealous of Chad and Oscar; I have a good job and a great life. I am just a fan who is frustrated by the stagnation of a favorite brand.

You just summed it all up perfectly. Anyone who isnt a fan will never be one because Chad makes it impossible for someone new to become a fan. If anything his fan base is probably shrinking from his "internet terrorism" (well put by the way) and it is only a matter of time before enough people have left that BOAD is just completely dead. I was actually pretty surprised to see his current WJFK contract renewed with how easily replaceable he is and everything else that has happened. If he doesnt wake up soon he may soon find himself without any radio job.

i agree with the above two posters as well.

And I'll add in the fact that, in my opinion, the show is just not that entertaining anymore. I can't remember the last time I really enjoyed a podcast. In fact it's probably been a month since I've listened to one all the way through.

Like, Yabels said several pages back, the chances of the podcast appealing to new listeners is basically zero. The show is an inside joke that fewer and fewer people care about.

I actually don't think he's easily replaceable since I don't think working with the giant retard Lavar is easy. That being said, I actually thought they would go somewhere with the podcast instead of relegating it to something they will forever as a supplement to their incomes and to get free shit (and get laid I guess in Oscar's case). At one point I was buying every reloaded as soon as I could. Now I only sometimes listen to the free episode.

To me, Dukes used to be able to relate to people well and he mixed in self deprecating humor with great timing. He had hilarious stories about himself that were embarrassing but he wasn't afraid to tell them. There were also very rare references to his 'group' and how Oscar thought it was funny and he and Drab wanted nothing to do with it.

Years later everything is flipped and Chad is rarely funny, mostly just angry all the time and the show revolves almost entirely around his yes men.

Last December I remember chilling in my place listing to the episode where Dukes talked about how he was running across the street to Tysons Corner through traffic and his tits were bouncing everywhere and reading the email he wrote to his mom.

That's when I would download every episode as soon as it came out and listen to it 10 times that week.

Now this bloated fuck claims hes too good for The Wire. Arguably one of the best shows ever made. Mind you, this hobbit watches grown men in spandex pretend grapple.

The Wire is definitely one of my favorite shows ever. That and the Sopranos are the only two drama/sit-soms I have watched in close to 15 years, since Seinfeld went off air.

And Main Street Mafia was the dumbest fucking thing ever. At least they gave that up when Beau left. The only time I (barely) laughed watching it was when Drab accidentally kicked a hole in the dry-wall in one the bathrooms at the radio station.

Not that I ever watched much of it to begin with.

Lavar is garbage on the radio himself too, but they could very easily find someone else to cohost with him. Pretty much anyone else on the station would love to be in that time slot. Even Brian Mitchell could just do it and keep Lavar in his place if he wanted to or they could find another former player. Not that the show was ever that great, but I cant listen to it at all anymore. I dont know why Chad goes around freely admitting he hates sports and only likes Wrestling when his job is to talk sports. I cannot listen to him pretend to care anymore when he has never played sports and doesnt watching anything except the skins.

Actually yes I am only fb friends with him to see his stupid crap and get a good laugh. Ive never once bought any of his shows or watched any of his stuff and his only show Ive ever listened to was Lavar and Dukes which has gone downhill real fast, and no longer listen to. That was the show that got me to friend him on FB at first and after seeing how he acts on there that is what caused me to lose all respect for him. I now find it very funny that a man with very few followers left is chasing them away one by one daily when his current job depends on ratings and any chance BOAD ever has of getting back on air depends on growing that following not to mention all the money hes cost himself. I agree completely. I would hate to listen to Lavar 5 hours a day which is why they need a respected sports person who can rein him in since he clearly doesnt respect chad. But at the same time isnt that more of a reason to try and grow BOAD to have a way out of that situation as opposed to just assuring you have no other option

He generally IS very approachable at events, I will say that for him. Oscar generally IS a shit head at said events as well. Also, Chad will not listen to you if you say what's wrong with the show. At all. He's somewhat passive aggressive around strangers (as most people are) and he would quickly get away from you and then insult you later.

Im sure the facebook argument was solved with Chad defriending him before he could rub it in his face. As far as the radio today my radio was set to it from listening to Wise and they were on when I got back in the car and they were talking about some crap about how Shanahan is great a developing Qbs which was a complete joke. Elway was already Elway, Shanahan didnt develop Steve Young, and the best part was Lavar naming Jake Plumber as one of them. Of course they never mentioned that Plumber hated playing for him so much that he just straight up retired instead of playing another down for him and has been pretty vocal of what a crappy coach he is. Great insight as always by that duo.

Agreed. They have not put out a show that was worth talking about in quite some time. In fact they haven't even put out a show worth listening to all the way through in a while. I guess some people on this board said last week's reloaded was pretty good but when I heard (did not bother to listen myself) that last week's show was a 1 hour infomercial about some beer and wine store disguised as a BOAD podcast I had no interest at all.

I read on here that Dukes had another meltdown, this time with an Eagles fan, on FB. Was it funny at all?

Last Sunday I deactivated my FB account (cause I fucking hate it) and its worked out wonderfully but the only downside is that I can't watch Dukes destroy what tiny chance he has of getting BOAD back on air, in real time anymore. Would anybody be willing to post screen shots of the good ones from time to time?

Like when he calls somebody a fucking piece of white trash for liking Van Halen for example.

There is no way these guys will ever get back on the radio again, not as long as their "schtick" (their term) revolves around Sven's blow and go's, Fat Cap Creasy's ramblings, Dick Smokehand's mumblings and an occasional drop in from Chad or Oscar. Make a better podcast and move on fellas.

Especially funny was the part were he talked about no one buying the Reloaded shows,,,about 15 people buy the show each week according to Chad,,,

I think he always is pessimistic so I bet there are way more than 15, but I really think it's MUCH less than he was hoping for. The show has honestly kind of sucked for a while so it's not shocking that people become less interested and don't care about downloading it.

I agree this week's free show actually was pretty funny. Tge best free show in a long time in my opinion.

Does anyone else think 3 bucks is too much for reloaded? I know Chad has related it to buying a movie, but that isn't comparable. If it was a buck or two I'd get reloaded much more often.

I actually considered doing the $99 when it was first offered, but I had my doubts about how long they would last before Chad called it quits or had to call it quits due to CBS.

Then when I thought about it, I can get a year of satellite radio for less than $99 if you catch a deal. With that in mind, it is not a good value at all to pay $100 for a ~50 weeks of a podcast that has been average at best for the past couple months and is outshines by competitors who offer funny shows for free.

Wasn't there some sort of built in guarantee they would provide 52 Reloaded shows for the cost of the $99?

Not that I am aware of and they have never mentioned it on the podcast (unless it was recently since I haven't been listening the last 3-4 weeks). No clue what would happen if they did a three way handshake and took off in under a year.

That may have been Mike O'Meara, who came up with the idea before BOAD, so you may be thinking of something they said instead. It's hard to keep track sometimes with Oscar being on both shows.

From listening to the occasional TMOS show when they started, it seemed like Oscar was the brains behind the structure of the business side of the podcast. Then they handed the day to day business over to that Ronick guy. Although they have more hands stirring the pot over there, so maybe they marketed it differently.

That's some funny shit. Dukes has his eyes set on DC101 and is pissed that they won't consider BOAD. I supose that they could drop Elliot but I don't see that happening. EITM consistantly beats out the Junkies in the AM drive time slot because like BOAD they have very few women listeners.

Does anybody remember the time Chad called Elliot claiming to be Lance Armstrong (as part of the Junkies-Elliot radio spat) and kept the whole gag going for about ten minutes.

Finally when Elliot asked, 'what is your greatest accomplishment?'

Chad (still acting as Lance) answered, at fist very slowly and soft spoken and the louder and faster, "well it would have to be when the Junkies moved to morning drive slot on WHFS!!!". I CANT BELIEVE THOUGHT THIS WAS LANCE ARMSTRONG YOU JACK-TOOL-ASS-F!!!".

Elliot; 'that was awesome'. (Nervous hyena laugh) cut straight to commercial...

Ah, back when Dukes was a fun, entertaining radio personality on the rise.

It is amazing this is the same guy who tweeted today threatening to contact someone's employer because they "talked shit to a radio host".

By the way, I don't get why they think this Main Street Mafia vs. Gay Cowboy thing is what people want to see. Clearly this is supposed to be the highlight of "Hordeoween" and I am quite glad I don't have tickets to this thing.
