Late Payment, What are the penalties???

I came into a payment agreement with fairfax traffic court that I will pay $30 a month every month for my accident ticket until its fully paid off. I got caught up w work and didnt realize the payment was due today, I am planning on making the payment first thing on monday. On the payment agreement contract it states that a bench warrant will be issued and drivers license will be suspended if the monthly payment is not received.. Would all that happen after a first late payment or can I still can get by if I explain myself and make a payment first thing monday??? Thank you in advance

This is a joke right?!? If real the judge should have thrown you in jail for even suggesting such a payment plan. $30.00 a month is all you can pony up? What kind of work do you do assuming you work? Must be a roadie for meade skelton.

It wasNT assighned by the judge. When I went to pay for the ticket I was asked if I wanted to pay the full amount and I said no so they assighned me payments, minimum is $30 but you can pay more. I usually pay around 100 a month, It was for 2 speeding tickets. I only have about $100 balance left and I am just going to take care of the full amount on monday , it just completely slipped my mind plus I was at work at the time so I missed the payment and I cant pay over the phone with a credit card so I have to wait until they open on monday. I was just wondering what will the penalties be for being late....:(

I went over a year without paying a ticket once, but I had never entered into some lame payment-or-prison plan like you seem to have. The worst that happened to me was administrative suspension of my license and a collection agency hounding me with letters until I paid.
Things sure have changed if they are willing to crowd the local jails over nickel-and-dime shit.
