COX Email server down?
Posted by: NoEMailFromCox ()

I have Co(cks) Internet that I use for the web and as an email access point. I cannot access my email via Windows Mail, and Cox WebMail has not shown amy new messages since early this evening. Anyone know what might be wrong? (aside from me being a Cox subscriber)?

My internet access works just fine.

Same problem here too. Its been hours, I would think Cox would have been able to fix it by now. Cable service at its best.

Just talked to Cox's technical support. After reading his script to me about how sorry they are.....about the server being down. He said I can rest assured that their technicians are working on it. And, no, they do not know when it might be up and running again.

Thanks Cox.

And the SOB's automated phone system is taking errors too.

J.D. Power and Associates, please contact me about this craptastic company. Media General Cable lives on!

Amazing that you got through to technical support. They seem to be cutting off calls coming in.

I am in the middle of catching up on previous seasons of 24 on Netflix, and this Cox service interruption makes me think that someone set off an EMP blast in whatever location the email server is located. (I still get the Netflix, I am talking about the absence of email communications.)

Cox better come up with a tight alibi/reason for leaving us without email service for so long, or I will no longer be a Cox subscriber...

also, you can use your own SMTP server if you use a different port number. :P

Cox e-mail has been down in the mid-west and east for at least 36 hours now. They are posting updates on their website, the last I saw was at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The usual corporate apologies and excuses. We are working around the clock, we have identified the problem, our teams at all levels are on this, but, we can't tell you when service might be back up. We had back up systems but they failed too - no explanation as to why. Maybe cheap hardware Cox? And of course, no offer of a refund for a service paid for but not delivered. I have sent them several e-mail messages, noting the next time I see a commercial telling me how wonderful Cox is, how great it is, and how everyone should have Cox, and buy more Cox and we are so, so customer oriented, I will fall down laughing.

I guess you could respond to the other thread about the most recent problem, but it's more fun to look stupid carrying on a problem from a couple of years ago.

Any updates? It seems like they could have resolved an issue from July of 2010 by now. I wonder what's taking so long?

Sorry Dr. Bombay, I made a mistake. Because all day long I was looking for information on why Cox e-mail had been down for 48 hours.

Think I am stupid do you? Why not show up on my doorstep and say that to my face? If you are willing to do so, I will gladly give you my legitimate address jackass. Come for a visit. And there will be $5000 in an envelope in my back pocket. If you can get it, the money is yours. If you can't, your medical bills are your own to handle. So what will it be Dr. Bombay - you want to man up, or do you want to admit you are a limp di*k pus*y? Come on big guy - waiting for you to show up!

So I show up at this R.J. White's house. Bang on the door for 20 minutes. All the lights go out. I can hear someone scurrying around inside, knocking over things. It sounded like someone was moving heavy objects in front of the door. So I kept banging on the door.

Next thing I know, the cops show up and arrest me for disturbing the peace.

I just got released from lockup 20 minutes ago. I was going to go back and knock on this dumbshit's door again, but I'm too tired. I'll try again in the morning.

Hello all, I have long wanted to create a website or server on a game, but all the time I could not find a cool dedicated server offers but here recently I was lucky and I saw the ad site and decided, it's time to do something of my own! I recommend it!
