Anyone else having problems with their land line? My phone continually has lost dial tone over the last several months. It lasts anywhere between a few days to a week. While waiting for a repair technician to come out (usually 5-7 days after reporting the problem), the problems fixes itself. Then a few weeks later, repeat cycle.
Guess it's time to just get Cox bundle. Pretty sad when my cell phone has more reliable connection.
Land line, huh? No, no I can't say I've had a problem. Dern newfangled technology is worthless, I say. I'll stick with my hollarin' across the field, thanks.
Don't bother going the Cox route. I get their bundled service and my land-line phone was just having the same problem. Started last Saturday, intermittently came back on Sunday for an hour, then was out again until Wednesday. Cox was supposed to come out Wednesday between 5-7 pm to look @ it, never showed up. I'm going to call them to have my bill prorated for lack of phone service and for the amount of time I had to come home early from work in order to wait for them (and, of course, for which they never showed up)....
Yes... having the same issue when the temp is above 90 mine cuts out until the temps drop... usually about 11 PM all is fine again... last time they came out was when we had a cool spell and reported that everything was fine. Hopefully next week temps will be in the 90's. this week was a bear with high temps.

Why not? Everything still needs a landline, as it's the only truly secure method of communication.

I haven't had a land line in at least 5 years and have had absolutely no problem with anything ever.
