one car crash into tree with 6 people in it?? some airlifted, 1 dead - anyone know what happened? dead was apparently 31 yo man. a family??

I'm going to go out on a limb and be the first to say that fisting was probably involved in some way or another.

I wish that after every big car crash people wouldn't immediately jump to the conclusion that fisting was some how involved.

I think we should really wait until the police investigation is finished before blindly saying fisting was involved.

The cops? They're too busy smoking in marked cruisers and driving like assholes to be bothered with this petty kind of business.

Fatal crash in Fairfax


A 31-year-old man was killed and four others were injured in a single-car accident in Fairfax County early Monday, police said.

Six people were riding in a 2000 Ford Explorer when it hit a tree near Glenclove Drive and Chapel Road, also known as Route 641, in Clifton about 1 a.m.

The 20-year-old driver was uninjured and remained on the scene after the accident, police said. They said speed appears to have played a role in the crash.

Four other passengers, ages 14, 15, 17 and 21, were taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital.

July 6, 2010

Police responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Chapel Road near Glencove Drive on Monday, July, 5 shortly after 1 a.m.

Crash reconstruction detectives determined that a 2000 Ford Explorer was traveling south on Chapel Road at a high rate of speed. The vehicle crested a hill and the driver lost control. The SUV ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree with the passenger side. Myron Day, 31 of Longwood Court in Woodbridge was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. There were five additional occupants including the driver. The 14, 15, 17, and 21-year-old passengers were transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The 20-year-old driver was uninjured and remained on the scene.

The investigation continues and charges are pending.

Speed appears to have been a factor; alcohol does not.

He was a passenger in the front on the driver side. The designated driver was driving and had not been drinking at all. He was speeding. Myron was my nephew, He was a husband, a father, a son, a nephew, an uncle,and a friend to many. We miss him very bad already. My sister and her husband are devastated at this tragic accident.

Correction - he was on the passenger side. I've had no sleep in the past 24 hours.

This was a result of carelessness. The driver was trippin...not fisting, and wouldnt listen to anyone in the car when asked to slow down. As a result, we have lost a wonderful person. Myron was also my nephew and a very beautiful person inside and out. He was not thrown from the car as some of the other reports have suggested. He had to be literally cut from the car! Words cannot even describe the pain that this has caused to everyone in our family. People please slow down and think twice when operating a vehicle. This not only affected Myron's family, the boy who was driving has a family too. Now they have to deal with the fact that their son will face charges and their lives will forever be changed as well.

R.I.P Myron Day... he was my cousin...and i miss him dearly.... He was a very beautiful cousin, father, brother, uncle, and nephew (person) to all of us... and he will truly be missed... I love you cuz.... never forgotten

The driver should face charges if he was speeding. He *killed* *someone*. I'm sure we'll hear from his parents that he really is a "good boy" and "is very sorry for what he did", but that's just too bad. Thats a smart thing to do, take a bunch of underage kids out on the road at 1am and hill jump out in clifton. Real smart thing to do and also what a great example as a adult seems like a real responsible individual. There are 2 amusment parks in the area, one of wich is 40 minutes from woodbridge if he liked the feeling of roller coasters he should have....

You know what nobody has the facts on this post. Myron had a disagreement with a person in a second vehicle and wound up riding with somebody that he didn't know to keep peace. Unfortunately the young driver went down the wrong road driving too fast and turned our world upside down. My son Myron was a husband and loving father. He made friends with everybody and he had a big infectious smile. He will be missed by all who loved him. I pray that he Rest In Peace. I pray that you all let him rest in peace and don't disprect his life. He was a wonderful person.

Why was he riding with a bunch of high school kids? I'll bet that empty police cruiser was sitting there - causing the driver to jam on his brakes and loose control.

Lost control of the car and hit a tree . he shook my cousin jerrea and told her to call the cops . brian walked away from the scene . My Uncle Moochie died immediately , he broke his neck from the impact of the car , My Sister was ejected out the back window , uncauntious . She dided but they brougth her back to life in the helicopter , My Brother Delonda was also ejected out The Back but got stuck in the window and was left uncauntious hanging out the back window , My Little cousin Akeem was ejected out the windshiel , 32 ft nd hit a tree , broke 3 bones in his face . My cousin jerrea just had cuts all over her chest from the windshield , had to get 24 stitchees on her breast . Brian was percetly fine and walked away from the scene . My sister and my brother were airlifter to fairfax , and my two cousins were taken in an ambulance . The notion of the driver to be inside of another circumstance, after this above, makes one think it should of been him, the driver, instead of my Little Brother, that lost his life!
