I'm going to carry the number for the police in my cellular phone, because the cops are there to protect me if I get assaulted/robbed/attacked. Assailants will generally wait patiently until the cops arrive so it's an even fight.

I just applied for my permit last week, if and when I get it I will probably just use it for making multiple handgun purchases in a one month period. As far as carry in the car, it will be my S&W Model 10.

Do you like your LCR? I can't really say I like the feel of the polymer frame in a revolver.

It really feel good and solid and very light 14oz. Ran some winchester bonded PDX1 38 special JHP 130gr+P (black talon type) through it. It gets tiring on the hand like any other 38 snubbie shooting +P on a range. Regular 38 special, almost no recoil. I'm impressed with it and it is highly concealable.

I also load winchester bonded PDX1 JHP 230gr+P 45 ACP for both my three inch barrel colt defender and new agent.

If I ever have to use them, god I wish that will never happen, they will make a mess. I will always avoid trouble first, but break up in my house...BAD move.

Got me some shell shot for the snakes. I guess they know it because I haven't seen anymore.

Whatever you want to call it. Top two line say Commonwealth of Virginia, Circuit Court of Fairfax file CLXXXX-XXXX. Yours should say something like, if you ever seen one. You didn't think I was going to give you my file number.

I had a S&W 637 before I got the Model 10. Too much muzzle flip with the +p ammo in a snub nose.

As far as your LCR, Ruger is coming out with a .357 version. It will be interesting to see how that frame holds up with the magnum loads.

Blessed are the murderous.

Seen of video review of one and the flame and kick was an ass whooping with 158gr 357. I'll stay with +P

I carry a .357 shoulder holstered, a small baretta taped to my sock and a side arm .45 silver mag.

I'm working on the same mount the guy in taxi had; a spring action bolt that will shoot out of my sleeve.

I carry at least 45 rounds in case I get pinned down. You can never have to much ammo and there is no way 6-12 rounds is going to be enough. It's better to have more rounds when you need then than not have enough.

I also have a gas mask that I carry in a small side bag. I keep extra filters in my car so I can last long in a gas attack.

I'm still aiming to most likely get a 10mm Glock before I head off to Alaska next year. The other pieces I own are family heirlooms, and technically they aren't even mine yet (Even though I know they'll be passed on to me).

As far as handguns, I/we have a S&W .38 Special/.357 Magnum, and a Browning Hi-Power 9mm (Both from the earlier 1900's). For target shooting, I use the Colt Woodsman .22 (My grandma originally owned it back in the 1930's, and it has an ivory grip).

I would just carry the .357 Mag. as a sidearm in Alaska, but since it's my pop's, I'd rather get one of my own in the meanwhile. I like the 10mm's power, and the Glock's high capacity magazine (As well as overall reliability, and the purchase discount they offer for Military). You can load a 10mm Glock pretty hot, and it's the one alternative to the revolvers that bush pilots and others have found acceptable in AK (Even though a revolver Magnum is still hands down, the best wilderness protection in existence).

As for a concealed permit, I'm not even bothering with it. I'll just wait until I get the job I'm going for first, then I should be able to carry regardless.

I carry an Ipod Touch in a highly ruggedized case. If someone attacks me, I plan to defuse the situation by playing some tunes and hopefully my attacker will lose his anger and join me in a spontaneous dance party. If that fails, I can bash him about the head with it, without damaging the Ipod.

If I'm mugged, I can toss the Ipod some distance away without breaking it. Getting a working Ipod will hopefully satisfy the mugger, and while he goes to retrieve it I will be able to run away.

For personal defense, I would carry a Tenloss DX-2 pistol. It has the most stopping power and is extremely accurate at 25 to 30 feet. One pull of the trigger, and the perp is no longer a threat to anyone. But, given its legal status in most jurisdictions, that isn't really an option.

That being said, I carry a Merr-Sonn Munitions IR-5. It is a fast and accurate pistol and an confident it would be more than up to task should the need arise.

Which is only a problem if there are more than five attackers. As you know, nobody is getting up after one shot from a DX-2. But, as I said, I am not willing to pay the price for simply possessing one.

im trying to find out online what this law says you can conceal or not or if you still need a permit for only certain kinds of guns. is this for all guns or just hand guns? my one buddy told me you'd even be allowed to conceal a sod off shotgun as long as you had a license for it, but does that mean for inside a restaurant too? even if your not old enough to drink?

I'll be carrying what I carry on a regular basis (well, since Fairfax has seemingly been taken over by illegals anyway).

I didn't used to feel the need to carry, but with all the influx of turd colored "people" from South of the Border, I carry my Ruger P-345 .45 automatic in either a shoulder holster (when it's cold enough for a jacket), or open (when it's not).

I love that Ruger P-345 .45. If I ever give up my 1911 Colts 45, that what I would go for.
