When you hear rock music, you may think of sex, drugs, and rock and roll, but we want to make it so much more than that. Musicians have an influence on the youth of today and tomorrow, so let's harness this influence to help end world hunger one city at a time! Founded in June of 2009, Indie Bands with a Mission is an informal non-profit organization and volunteer group run by high school students to raise money for food banks and other just causes while promoting bands that want to make the future a better place to live.

Indie Bands with a Mission will celebrate its first benefit show a few weeks after the first anniversary of being founded! Featuring a pop band from Philly (Find Vienna), a post-punk band from Baltimore (Rosy Likes Red), and a Maryland favorite (Corrin Campbell), this benefit show will not disappoint!

Twenty-five percent of Indie Bands with a Mission's profit will be donated to the DC Central Kitchen in Washington, DC.

Corrin Campbell & the Election, an indie pop/rock band from Baltimore, has just wrapped on their new album, Game Night. With slammin' female lead vocals and definite rock influences, the band has been compared to Evanescence, Paramore, and Heart. However, this band keeps it light and positive while sticking to Corrin's girl-power message.

"Even the girls who just want to rock tend to be filed under the angry-chick-who's-just-mad-that-her-boyfriend-dumped-her-for-someone-prettier-rock genre. Then we have Corrin Campbell, whose energetic voice and spunky lyrics refuse to become a cliché." -Lisa Perron, Target Audience Magazine

The Philly suburbs are the proud home to the musical movement known as Find Vienna, formerly known as Clarity. This extremely energetic band from North Wales, PA is known for its clean melody lines, probing lyrics, driving rhythms and enthusiastic performances. Sweetly placed pop melodies over an urbanized electronic rock sound are sewn together to create a unique, infectious sound. Find Vienna started out with a cult-like following of friends and family, and then went on to include friends of friends, and friends of those friends. From coast to coast, Find Vienna has been performing to inspire a wide range of fans that eagerly await news of Find Vienna's next appearance and move.

Through live performance the band has had the opportunity to share the stage as direct support for some of their influences such as THE SCRIPT, PARACHUTE, GREEN RIVER ORDINANCE, MAE, THE ATARIS, AUDRYE SESSIONS, and several others. Find Vienna has been dubbed "Philly's Buzz Band." The band has sold out such prominent Philly area venues as World Café Live and developed its presence on the strength of its own promotional efforts as it seeks the right label partnership.

93.7 WSTW's Mark Rodgers' radio show, Hometown Heroes awarded Find Vienna the "Homey Award" in the Best New Artist 2009 category. The guys followed it up with four wins in 2010: Best Band, Best Lead Singer, Best EP, and Best Drummer. Armed with their new album, many people in their corner and major label interest, Find Vienna is ready to take off from Philadelphia for the spring of 2010. The band plans to follow a heavy tour schedule, spreading the name and promoting the EP. Find Vienna will continue to play, write, perform, promote and work until they reach the top.

ROSY LIKES RED, a band founded in Baltimore, Maryland, writes and performs original songs. Rosy Likes Red has performed at places such as the 9:30 Club, The Sonar, The Recher, The Ottobar, The 8X10, The Brass Monkey, Penguins in the iGloo, and the Main Street Festival.

They are constantly developing the New Wave/progressive sound and experiment with the idea of no limitations. With emotional lyrics, memorable melodies, and an infectious pseudo-retro sound, ROSY LIKES RED is a new fresh sound.
