I thought one of the Time Out's was still there. Also as far as I know Orange Julius is still there. Kemp Mills all went out of business I believe. It's been a while since I wandered the mall though.

I was just at Springfield Mall last night - tried to get to Chi-Chi's for dinner and whoa! it was gone! So, climbed back into our Taurus wagon and drove to the mall, thinking Farrell's would be nice! I thought I remembered it being right by the Garfinkel's entrance. Anyway, couldn't find it and I decided to pick up a few things at Jean Nicole, Suzie's Casuals, Wicks N Sticks and Brooks. Gone~! My heart will break if I find out that Units is gone! Thank God for the Iva Trice Dress Shop by Zippers/Meyer's Gifts.

I'd highly recommend House of Lance for hairdos, ladies. It's in the shopping center next to Giant/Kinney's and Northern Virginia Bank.

Try the fruit at the fruit stand at the corner of Rolling and Keene Mill...

J C Penny's is still there, and like two other anchor stores. The barber shop is still there, and so is the Korean watch repairman. Not much else. Guess they picked the wrong half of the decade to try to find money for renovation or rebuild. Not too long ago they were going to replace the building with an outdoor town center-style mall, then they changed their minds and decided to renovate the existing building instead, but they're getting nowhere. I go in there for a haircut once in a while because I drive past it often, and the barbers said renovation is the current plan.

I was at the shopping at the Target there a couple of days ago. I wasn't even tempted to go inside the mall, though.

Both movie theaters are gone too. How sad. I remember watching "Red Dawn" in the mid 80s at those theaters, and then sneaking into some other crappy Schwarzneggar flick (maybe predator or something).

I read that the investor that was going to rennovate had defaulted on their loan. I dont think that mall can be revived. 5 more years and it'll be rubble.

Don't forget Spencers and Merry Go Round right next to it. 1989.
