Felony Hit and Run- Alaska-tagged Toyota 4runner

[REWARD RETRACTED - 5/26/21]

We were on the receiving end of an intentional hit-and-run at the intersection of Quaker Ln. and Duke St. between 9:00 and 10:00PM last night (5/5).

The driver intentionally tried to run us off the road (because I honked at him around Seminary Rd), and when I followed him, he made a very awkward U-Turn at Roth St.

The Alexandria Police have most of the license plate, so they might already have found the driver and the male passenger, but my Wife and I are really looking forward to our day in court.

Any information would be appreciated. If you can locate this truck, I will give you the $500 that I'll be paying for a deductible.

Again, I want to see this guy in court. If you provide a photo of the truck, and a name, address or anything else that would allow the Police to locate this person, I will pay my reward even if the Police locate him on their own today. Given the circumstances, and the driver's actions, I'm guessing that the has a lot of "friends" out there.

I'll be skeptical about provided information, so please make sure it's valid. A photo of the damaged truck (passenger side) would be perfect, but not required. Or if you know the complete license plate, I'll be able to verify it. Cary knows me by name, and I give him permission to provide any information about me (including my work email, which I used to register this account) if I don't keep my side of the bargain.

If you respond using an unregistered account, please retain some proof that you're the poster. For example, post a marked image, or cut the image in a way that only you have the original photo. I will promise confidentiality.

Thank You!

"Toyota Forerunner"

I hope the police are looking for a 4Runner, because if they are looking for a "Forerunner" they will never find it.

Before we turn this fellow over we have one question - were you driving like a douche? I see lots and lots of drivers that should be run off the road into a ravine never again to be found terrorizing the capable drivers of this area. I fear you may be one of them.

I would like to know what kind of car the op was driving. That would help determine who was at fault. If op has a Prius, he was definitely the douche.

So true. Prius drivers are the biggest dicks on the road. OP - Lets hear it.

Thank you Officer Friendly for remining us that police officers have been picking and choosing what laws to enforce long before liberals like Descano arrived on the scene.

Anyone remember the old days under Bob Horan. The Commonwealth Attorney's office then salivated over the opportunity to prosecute a hit and run case, which encouraged police officers to give chase or put out a call. Today you call the police about a hit and run, and even with the license plate the cops will quite often just take down the info and give you a report number for your insurance. If the police want to restore faith in the system, then pursuing cases like hit and runs is the way to do it.

So true. I witnessed a hit and run accident in Fairfax and I followed the Hispanic lady who slammed into the rear of a car at a stoplight,(she didn't apply her brakes at all) and I called the police and they acted like they couldn't have cared less about it. All they wanted was the tag number. Really? They could have easily asked for my location and arrested her.

FIFY. Fairfax County Police really need to start enforcing noise violations on these fuckers driving around with super loud exhaust modifications.

Exactly. And that's what OP and so many snowflakes think these days...that the horrible scofflaw will be scooped up by some posse of heavily armed police for this horrible crime. In reality, they don't give a fuck and even with the tag number would just tell OP "it's being investigated" and "you should contact your insurance co." and then do absolutely nothing ever again.

"Anyone remember the old days under Bob Horan."

Yes... it wasn't all roses, though. I always thought it was funny that his Son practiced law from the other side of the same courtroom. At one time, he was definitely the hot-ticket for representation in a DWI.

"I would like to know what kind of car the op was driving. That would help determine who was at fault. If op has a Prius, he was definitely the douche."

I drive a Subaru. I'm not a big fan of Prius drivers as a species, either. I will always pass one, given the chance.

"If the police want to restore faith in the system, then pursuing cases like hit and runs is the way to do it."

I agree. But maybe there's not a single camera on Quaker Ln, Seminary Rd, or Duke St. We had the exact time, many points of travel, and the guy would have been easy to identify. I'm not saying there would've been a different reaction if the driver hadn't been a white male from Alaska, but who knows?

"Exactly. And that's what OP and so many snowflakes think these days...that the horrible scofflaw will be scooped up by some posse of heavily armed police for this horrible crime."

I really wonder what kind of idiot would write this. If I expected anything, would I have offered a reward here?

Anyway, I realize that these guys were probably passing-through, and that the driver got away with nothing but his own damage.

I'm now retracting what may have been the first genuine bounty ever offered on this site. The reward was actually 2x my insurance deductible.

Nope. People have paid others here to do some illegal things to others.

And the cops did nothing. Just like we said they would.

When you live in a shithole, hit and run is no longer a crime. It's a way of life in Fairfax today.
