LA Tint also has a location on HWY1/Richmond HWY. It's about 1/2 mile south of Buckman Rd on the west side of HWY1. Looks like a small, run down stripmall shop, but the guys do fantastic work. I had my suburban done there for $298. 8 windows, premium tint, 1 year warranty. And the guys that work there are pretty cool too.

Isn't a pair of good shades a lot cheaper and easier?

Yeah...you go ahead and let your interior fade, and dry out your leather seats ..and not to mention your skin...You enjoy your skin cancer from the sun's lovely UV rays. I'll go ahead and rock a Clean Professional tint job for a descent price, and enjoy my $10 pair of glasses from the stand in 7-11.

A good pair of shades costs 150, and the odds of losing them or breaking them is pretty good, while that tint shit is attached to a huge thing you don't really lose.

Theft applies to both the shades and the car.

UV rays don't go through auto glass, tinted or not.

I have had "tint" since the mid-80's, before it was "vogue" and cool...

I have darker tint than generally allowed, as I have a waiver and I will say it is better than a good pair of sunglasses, as it isn't just about the sun, it is about all glare, headlights, etc. included.

Also, it is true the tint's side benefits are less interior fade and cooler temps in the car, or so it seems.

I was actually stopped about 2 yrs ago in my one car. The policeman in a marked cruiser, passed a car on the double yellows, lights & siren, 100 yards before the county line. Once he asked about the tint and I showed him my registration card, he apoligized and said to "have a nice day, sir" - I had my wife and kids in the car...

Anyways, not everyone wants to be a gangster or whatever, some have legitimate reasons for tint.

My reasons for wanting tint fall along those lines.. glare is a real problem for me and sunglasses don't catch every angle like a tint job would.

My biggest issue with getting tint is the fact that people can't see in as easily... I want people to see me very clearly when I hold up my middle finger at them.

This is a discussion amongst the tinty people. Please do not throw facts around. Facts are of little use here.

If you start using facts again, I will sue you and take part of your pension and any equity you have in your house. Also, I will not call you a fagot, because being a fagot is a federally protected class and I could get in trouble.
