It's in Arlington.

(I always wondered what that place is too.)

I have actually gone to several receptions at that house. So I know of it - its an impressive house. Nice pool deck too.

I drove by it on Sunday and didn't see any 'For Sale' signs.

This house is in Arlington County. There are approximately 12 acres of land on the tract. Rumor has it that Audrey Meadows and Steve Allen once owned it. I know that nobody knows who they are..They were t.v. stars in the 50's and 60's. I tried looking up the real estate records, but they are mysteriously absent in the county files. I believe the address is 6412 Wilson Blvd, which doesn't really fit in the progression of addresses on Wilson Blvd.

The address listed isn't correct. Does anyone know the actual address?

This house is owned by Randolph Rouse, construction company owner. He was once married to Audrey Meadows, from the Honeymooners TV show, from 1956 to 1958. She did not live in this house. It is not currently listed for sale, but I think the value is more than 2 million. It has a gorgeous 1920s Era swimming pool with pretty flagstone all around. I believe it was once the main house for the land that is now Arlington.

The land was sold and the house is being knocked down to make way for a new mattress store.

Would never happen in Arlington. The neighbors would stop it. They have the means and the willpower.

That property is worth a lot more than $2 million. Maybe 20 times that.

I always imagined that if I had the means, I'd buy that house, expand it, and build a 10 foot wall around it to keep people out, and prying eyes away.

I used to live in the smaller house next to the mansion. My father used to work for Randy and Michelle for over 30 years and lived there since early 80s.

Didn't a criminal live in the small house at one point?

Hey! An update for you guys, this house was the Febrey/Lorthop estate. Also known as the Rouse estate. Unfortunately mr. rouse passed away 2017 at the age of 100, in this house. He left everything in a trust fund to his lawyer and widow wife Michele Rouse.
The house was demolished in March 2021. After many attempts to save the structures in the property, Arlington County did NOT have the “willpower” to save this property as a historical landmark.
Proof of the original owners (Mr. Febrey) bought this land back in the 1800’s from his father. He even provided a SLAVE for his son to have in his new property!
When the war came around, the confederate soldiers set tents on the acres of land and some even took over some of the structures that were there, and did graffiti on the walls.
There was the main house, connected to a separate house. And next to that there was a single family house. Next to that there was a barn, which contained stables and was said to be a dairy farm back in its days. The Slaves definitely lived on that property.
Very sad to have seen it demolished all over greed, because the wife is apparently demolishing all her husbands lands. (Randolph Rouse)
Randy has other acres of land in Aldine VA which are currently being torn down as we speak as well.
Proof that his late wife Michele NEVER loved him, she left all his pictures and memories inside the grand main house, allowing it all to be destroyed in the demolish.
She is now owning a pet store, doing pet portraits, and spending all the fortune Mr. Rouse left her on giving away his money to charities (multiple different ones)
All the info I’m providing is true, and if you look hard enough you WILL find what you are looking for and MORE.
