Minerva in Fairfax normally has some *really* spicy dishes on their buffet. Every time I eat there, at least one of the dishes forces me to gulp down a mango lassi like I'm trying to put out a 5 alarm fire in my mouth. An indian friend once told me she thought sometimes they put a little too much spice in their food.

Good stuff.

I think I am imune to "heat" in things... some friends swear they can't eat more than two "911" wings but I blow right through them. I can eat a sandwich with habanero sauce on it with not much problem. Just a talent I guess.

Do you like spicy, clear up my sinuses or spicy, my throat is on fire?

Personally, I prefer that my food not be so spicy that it causes pain. I like getting delivery or carry out from Preet Palace in Centreville 'cause you can choose between mild, medium or spicy. I find spicy is just right.
