what are those 3-digit numbers after the name in the Fairfax arrest/ticket search results?


In the example below, what is this "020" mean?

"SMITH" "JOHN" "P" "020" "123 MAIN ST" "FAIRFAX" "VA" "05/12/2007"

That's what I always thought... but today I saw one that says "013" after the person's name... and the charge was "TINTED WINDOWS" which makes absolutely no sense to me.... wouldn't a 13-year-old be charged with driving without a license or something at the same time? yet his name only had this one tinted window charge

It definitely is age at the time of ticket or arrest. The 13 may be a typo...But you are right, 13 is to young to de driving around prostutes, whether they are transvestites or not.

the other problem is that it would be illegal to report the crimes of a 13-y/o on the arrest list. Those arrests and convictions are protected information.

I guess maybe they could have charged the kid as an adult, but usually they save that for the heinous stuff.

It is age, i have 3 different tickets on it and each one is my age when it happened.

The three digits means the district station the officer is assigned to. Each station has a three digit number to show where the officer works.

It is most definitely the age of the person when the event occurred. For Instance Someone with the initials AG was born let us say Aug 1955. and got a ticket - let me pick a date at random - May 2002, the code would read 047.

My ticket exactly 3 years ago when I was 20 says 21
