Fairfax Co. Dept. of Zoning has captured an alleged violator. Capture was made by the Strike Team. The alleged violation = .. Parking In the Grass. The car, One 65 Mustang, has been parking on the grass for over 10 years!!! The Strike Team has not found the 20-30 people that are allegedly living at the location.

One 65 Mustang, must be at the wrong house. If their were 20-30 people living at the house they would have bikes parking in the grass.

The Strike Team was stared by Gerry Connolly about 6yrs ago to only target boarding houses. Now they just harass citizen who have lived in the community all of their lives. So they can take their money though fines or appeals. To appeal you must submit $2455.00
And No, I don't have any room de rent.

Fairfax Strike Team ROCKS! They not only protect the quality of life for people in the neighborhood but also the safety of people who live in dangerous ratholes. A lot of times, they'll find people living in places with electrical outlets daisy chained beyond their capacity and with only one exit in the case of a fire. As in fire near exit, you're dead.

While the Strike Team doesn't deal with them, even zoning violations that seem petty really do suck. How would you like a group of SOB's next door parking five cars on their lawn? Or the smallest violation of them all, having grass over one foot high. Snakes and crap coming into your yard, accompanied by the human version of of that living next door.

The police have taking over dog barking, but I had some bitch whore screwing up my ability to get interest in my place. Once a polite, but big-ass cop told her that if she got another complaint that she was going to court, it changed her mind. This cunt, just like so many people get in your face all day and act super big, but when cop comes by, they act like babies. Bitch whore learns to cry.

Zoning and the Strike Team ROCK!

Update: One 65 Mustang has been forced on to pavment by the Strike Team and is now in compliance. Only in America where we are free, but don't park on your own grass.
P.S. : When the Strike Team catches the alleged 20-30 people that are living in my house, tell them I need the rent money.

Good for you! Remember that the Strike force did not do this on their own. Some pansy neighbor called anonymously to complain. If I were you I would get a junk car to add to your collection just to let them know how much you appreciate their intrusion into your life.

That Mustang should be exempt under what is called the Grandfather Clause. Maybe the citizens who are being harassed by Zoning should file a class action lawsuit against the county.

We were one of the houses that were found in violation. I'd married into a family from overseas where it is common practice to rent out rooms if you have spare space. The prior owners had added an addition with a kitchen and had a third stove set in the basement. They were also from the same country, which by the way is communist. There the gov. doesn't bother you or come in your home if you're not polictical.

So I got caught up in their culture and we didn't know about this "Strike team". The strike team came to our home one day on a fishing expedition. They misrepresentd their purpose and the overseas person let them in the house. Next thing you know we get a letter telling us we have to do tens of thousands of dollars damage to our home, taking out 2 kitchens and a finished attic. I tried to fight it and spent thousands more, but in the end I didn't have the resourses to carry though. I made the changes and it cost me a years take home pay.

Did this satisfy the strike team? Hell no. We'd had some cartons of food in the basement when they came for inspection. This is a kitchen!!! So they filed charges to bring us to trial and we had to spend thousands more to find a different lawyer and the county only dropped the case when our lawyer insisted we get a jury trial!!!

I won't deny that there is a greater risk for people living a "boarding house" but it provides a home to people who would otherwise be living on the street or in homeless shelters. Working poor people should be free to chose how they will live. It's their life, not yours or the government's. The more money they can save the sooner they will be out of poverty.

Are you a troll or just stupid? Assuming the former...

To summarize:
-You were in violation and were "unfairly busted in a fishing expedition" because they had absolutely no probable cause or complaints from neighbors. (They act based on complaints. They have plenty to work on without resorting to guessing.)

-They misrepresented their purpose and it constitutes an illegal search. They had no right to inspect your dwelling for this violation of law. (A thwarted inspection attempt would have just delayed the inevitable discovery and charges being filed.)

-You were forced to obey the laws of the county in which you chose to live. You call the expense of becoming compliant with the law "damage" to the home. (The damage to that home came from the illegal modification and use. The expense came from returning the home to the original state where it complied with law. It is not the county's fault that they bought a noncompliant house.)

-You believe that the law is unreasonable and that the laws from the communist country they left are superior. (It is a package deal. They could move back there and enjoy the gov't indifference and everything else it has to offer.)

Your solution is obvious. Live somewhere else, like that communist country, where they won't bother you and you can do whatever you want - or PWC/Stafford County like Gordon Blvd says.

You're welcome to stay - either figure out and follow the law or man up when you get busted.
