I've been on a mission to find something at least comparable to Lombardi's down here, and Don Corleone's is the closest I've experienced so far.
In addition to the coal oven, it's really all in the fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce. Too many pizza joints think they have to smother the product with
shredded cheese that fuses together into this thick, greasy blanket; when the best pizzas (for my taste, anyway) are achieved with just the right amount of fresh mozzarella slices.
Damn... now I want Lombardi's. :)
