Driving to work this morning (like EVERY other day this year). Heard a new PSA from the state of Virginia. What outrageous and infuriating pieces of garbage I was subjected to by my government.

I don't remember the wording but essentially the message was: if you don't have a good reason to be outside of your house - GO HOME!

This is infuriating.

1. This COVID-19 pandemic is under control in the state of Virginia.
2. The COVID-19 pandemic has been grotesquely overblown - the death rate is minuscule, the people at risk are well known by now. It's barely more than a bad flu season.
3. The government has no interest or right to know why I am traveling anywhere or why I am out of my house.
4. The government has no legal basis to be telling me to "GO HOME."

This is not only a colossal waste of taxpayer money it implies an offensive intrusion of privacy rights. There is no law that has been passed that allows the state of Virginia to explore the reasons I am outside of my domicile or the reasons for which I am traveling.

Virginia government needs to GTFO.

I beg to differ.

Let me run through this with you and anyone else that's curious about all of this.

The money is not being wasted, it's being used aggressively to get liberals re-elected by continuing to promote an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty. They are hopeful that the fear leads to more shutdowns (keeping kids at home so parents have a harder time working, trying to force people to wear masks like there's some fucking plague out there) which causes economic disruption.

Economic disruption makes people think and act in ways that create a sense of despair and gloom, which then makes people think something should CHANGE - like we should CHANGE our President to get rid of all these bad things.

It's going to last another 80+ days. So far it's a huge failure for most of the public, but there are a core cadre of libtards that have embraced masks, shutdowns, home schooling and everything else they've been fed and are pounding it relentlessly on social media.

The vast majority of the public knows better.
