John Quincey Adams did not own slaves? He was in his later years an early advocate for abolition. He represented the slaves in the Supreme Court case U.S. v. Amistead. He may nave employed slaves when he was living in the white house.

Of the U.S.'s first 12 presidents only John Quincey Adams and his father never owned slaves. Two other presidents had stopped owning slaves before being elected president. The last slave owner/former slave owner who was elected president was Grant.

Here is the real story of what happened. There was a horrific accident that has closed the 7-11 until further notice. I was able to get this gruesome photo before I was overcome by the scene.
