Weekly Deal Sheets

Hello,

I traced substantial traffic from our web server logs back here to a conversation related to Vocelli Pizza (thank you, Ellipse Resident) and I wanted to provide some useful background.

The information comes from our weekly Deal Sheet which is a relatively new local advertising service. Here is the source:

http://www.cyber-valley.com

The object of Deal Sheets is simple: We pay you cash Rebates when you buy from any merchant advertising on one. We pay you immediately and with no strings attached. Pecentagewise (10%-25%) Deal Sheet Rebates are the largest cash incentives paid by anyone anywhere. We are locally-based in Reston and can often hand-deliver cash.

This week's Deal Sheet is specific to Fairfax Corner and features:

* Vocelli Pizza
* Dr. Mark Carl, D.D.S.

We are in a "proof of concept" phase and hope to soon offer a much larger selection of merchants. If you have one you would like to get cash back from, please let us know and we will reach out to them.

Have a great day.

Are your agents single by chance?

I can't put my finger on it, but it feels like a scam.

Johnny, LOL,

I really can't divulge personal info about them. :-)

Eesh: That impression is a big concern of mine and is understandable since people have been misled by other offers. And because ours is, without question, the best deal around people are going to be even more suspicious of it.

What would make you not be suspicious? (We are considering doing video testimonials or allowing email/phone inquiries to people who have been through the Rebate process.)

Video testimonials are usually paid actors...

When you say "Deal Sheet Rebates are the largest cash incentives paid by anyone anywhere" it raises red flags.

Eesh: Ours would use the actual person(s) if we went that route.

So far, I have not seen any cash-back offer that, percentagewise, matches ours. They usually top out at 10-15% -- which is where we start. Right now, in fact, Vocelli is actually at 35% -- $3.50 back on a $10.00 or more order -- but only because we sweetened the deal a bit at our own expense. It will definitely not be a typical scenario.

Free cell phone deals would seem to surpass ours -- until you factor in the cost of 2-year cost of the contract. Also, with other cash-back offers, you either wait an eternity to get paid or you can only to use the money to make purchases from the same store (i.e., Kohls' Bucks or eBay bucks, etc.) With us, you can take you Rebate and do what you want with it.

Overcoming the "too good to be true" perception is proving to be a challenge, but we'll overcome it.

Thanks for the good feedback.

I'd like a process where I buy a pizza at Vocelli's and take up the offer of hand-delivered cash, where I'll spend it on one of those agents when they deliver it (heck any of those agents) at Starbucks or some kind of desert once the pizza is gone. I'll even kick in the rest of the tab.

Unfortunately I cannot comply. :-(

For Eesh and others who are skeptical of our offer, I will:

* Increase the Vocelli Rebates to $5.00 for the first 10 Fairfax Underground members -- anytime today through Sunday;

* Increase the Mark Carl DDS Rebate to $25.00 for the first 1 member-- anytime through next week.

Just PM me to let me know it is you.

After you complete the process report back here with the results. If I am BS-ing, then the world will know.

Sounds interesting but I only deal with reputable companies like the Bank of Nigeria. Anyday now I should receive notice of a large sum of money placed in my account by the recently deposed President of the country. My reward for helping him and his neice smuggle gold out of the country during the recent rebel takeover.

If you want to meet a lot of them post an ad on Craigslist or reply to one.

Within 2 or three days you will be flooded with their solicitations. People are obviously still falling for them if they are not only continuing to do it, but have amped it up.
