umm, korean restaurants, trading them in for newer models, or maybe just tying them against a tree and leaving them there.

Following the 9/11 attacks, a lot of people rushed out to get "comfort doggies." That was nearly 9 years ago. Those cute little puppies are now older doggies that don't quite get out as much anymore. I'm referring to those that are still alive, anyway. You see, a lot of those dogs have died of disease, old age, coyotes, and budding serial killers. Others were left behind following home foreclosures. In some cases, forgetful owners would leave ol' Spot behind at an Orlando gas station, and not realize he was missing until they pulled into their Chicago cul-de-sac.

I have kids. When I was a kid, my dad didn't talk to me for weeks at a time and nobody cared. Nowadays if I don't take my kids to see shit like this, I'm some kind of abusive monster.

Old Dogs are all players and macks. When a Puppy comes along, the Old Dog says "Screw the walks, you take the new punk outside yourself". Then they school the Puppy, and show them who's boss 24/7, all the while they kick back and watch Animal Planet, sipping a cold one, and eating the sandwich you just left on the counter before you realized the Puppy had to go outside really quickly.

This is how the "Old Dog" first views the puppy:
