Dear FCPS Students, Families and Staff,

The events occurring across the country in the aftermath of the tragedy surrounding George Floyd are a response to the injustices we have witnessed for far too long. Images showing the brutal treatment of Mr. Floyd and other African Americans weigh heavily on our hearts and in our minds.

The pain and anguish displayed on our national stage developed from generations of systemic racism impacts our students, families, staff and communities. We embrace our responsibility to ensure our schools are safe havens where all students are welcomed, valued, respected, and greeted with opportunity.
Working with the community as One Fairfax, this Board is committed to identifying actionable items to improve policies, procedures, curriculum and access to opportunities to ensure that students, families, and staff do not experience injustice and inequities in Fairfax County Public Schools. We will seek reform, reflect on our own biases and engage in difficult conversations. During this process we will partner with our community, invite public comment and seek collaboration with state and local leaders.
We value diversity and are united in our opposition to racism and hate. We stand in solidarity with our black students, educators, staff and their families. We must unite and be agents of change in working to build a better world. We cannot and will not be silent.

Focus on how to re-open the schools!!! Focus on curriculum!!! How hard is that? They focus on everything (free meals, diversity, etc) but academics. I really hate where this county and where this school system is going.

Kids might as well stay at home if this is the liberal garbage being thrown at them. Teachers need to get off their lazy asses and start teaching. The long term vacation is now over.

Will they pay for Trans-gender bathrooms to be installed in Homes?

I missed the march in Chicago where all the Self-loathing white limo libs went to protest the 30 Blacks killed in Chicago every week by other Blacks.

Fairfax school board will say and do anything to appease minority parent groups and minority special interests. They were elected to represent ALL kids not just minority kids.

In PG County we are hearing stories that PGCPS and FCPS are in negotiations to begin a busing program. About 50 percent of the students from Oxen Hill,Suitland, and Langley Park High Schools will be bused to McLean, Langley, and Madison High Schools in Fairfax County, and about 50 percent of the students in those Fairfax County high schools will be sent to the corresponding PG County high schools.

Unfucking believable. FCPS is destroying a once great school system with all your social engineering bullshit.

That’s not true

FCPS School Board says, "We will seek reform, reflect on our own biases and engage in difficult conversations." It will be open season on bashing all whites as responsible for every ill in the black community. No discussions will be had. Whites will be told to accept their guilt and kneel down.
