Looks like Cary doesn't care about ffu anymore. Things that had nothing to do with ffx use to get moved from this forum but now it stays. The forum is full of junk and things having nothing to do with ffx.

Get the attn of Cary. For a start people like 496 need to be banned because 100% of what they write has nothing to do with fairfax. Everyone should also be verified and register before posting so all this bs can stop.

I think the plan is after everyone is verified they will then be certified with background checks, IP address crosschecks, etc. Then there will be some automatic moderation (or "autoration") that bans IP subnets on DOS posts, school-aged kids who are posting old jokes they just heard for the first time and think they are funny, people posting on a NoVA forum calling tow trucks "wreckers," and naive/uninformed political or scientific opinions.
Phase three will be to ban everyone who was not a registered user before 2009, and back up the date until the site is once again both useful and entertaining.

Registering all users would only slow down the posts for a couple of minutes. People would just register multiple junk accounts.
We need to bring back the Mike O'meara show and encourage the school board to do some more redistricting.

Agree with OP. I say anyone that hasn't been here since late 2006 is suspect. In the old days the regs wouldn't have put up with the likes of 496, Harry Tuttle, Gonads and Strife, ej/eesh, bloody blisters and many more. It's time to take back the board for the old school members.

FFXU has gone downhill. I remember just a year ago having a discussion with TheMeeper, Spunky and Gravis about the Treaty of Westphalia and its role in establishing the modern nation state. If we were to have that discussion now, it would involve the role of lol cats in creating the bunnyman bridge. For shame!

Ideally, it would be great to have a heavily moderated G-rated FFXU that would benefit the entire Fairfax County community. However, it would be awesome to have an area called "the dog pound" or "hell's backyard" or something like that where we can post without moderation or registration - like we do now.
