are there traffic light cameras in fcps? my driver's ed teacher didn't know and i can't find it on line?

Yes, they are everywhere. Not only do they catch you if you speed or run a red light, they monitor your daily life. Anything suspicious or un-American is documented in a central office.

Needless to say, the school board knows exactly where you are, what you eat, how you feel, etc.

I fail to see how this trivializes the school system (which i am a product of, and which needs no one to trivialize, as it is already quite trivial.)

Back to the traffic cameras, they are bullshit, as we all know. They statistically dont cause any less traffic accidents, all they do is give the government another way to take your money.

No cameras in FFX. You can still see a few up (I can think of the one on 7100 south of 29, can't rmemeber the intersection) but they stopped the program a year or so ago. A buddy of mine told me that the revenue it created barely covered operating costs.

That would be intersection of Popes Head Rd. and 7100 (1st light south of Braddock Rd.)

The last I heard, VA dropped the program years ago. MD and D.C. on the other hand not only have red-light cameras, but they also have speed trap ones too. North of the Potomac = Commie Land, South of the Potomac = America.

This new function 'they' have assigned these 'traffic cameras' is horrible. These things that were installed 10+ years ago with no explanation, now are supposed to see approaching cars and change the light for you(good one). But instead I find myself blowing redlights(early in the morning w/no other cars on the road) or waiting for ever for the light to change by itself because half the time the cameras imaging program fails to detect the car, or the wind blowing or birds maybe, but something moves the camera ever so slightly and the light doesn't know your there. Fuck this new excuse for these dumbass cameras. The old magnetic loop-detectors worked so well and we never even installed them at all lights! Imagine how much fuel and money we waste as a nation with cars NEEDLESSLY IDLING at lights that don't change when they should.
