So where is the video from the officers car who was struck? Why isn't the FCPD releasing that?

Shut the fuck up you retard!

Not all officers cars are equipped with cameras. You made it clear what side of the law you are on. Go back to smoking your crack.

I agree, STFU. I sure hope you never get robbed because that police department that you are bashing (yeah, you are sooo tough!) would be there to help you. I feel bad for the police that are required to help unthankful stupid citizens such as yourself. Do us all a favor and quit running your mouth.

Which cars exactly, aren't equipped? I was under the impression that all marked patrols have cams, and most unmarked Crown Vics do too.

As for the crash, is this the one you're referring to?

Motorist Charged in Crash with Officer
West Springfield District – A 49-year-old Burke area woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after striking a Fairfax County police officer’s vehicle on Friday, April 16 shortly before 9:30 p.m.

Cristina Zamorano of 9201 Lake Braddock Drive was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla when she pulled out of Parliament Drive into the path of a 15 year veteran officer who was traveling northbound on Rolling Road. The 40-year-old officer and his K9 were en route to a burglary in progress and had the vehicle’s emergency lights and siren activated at the time of the crash.

Both drivers suffered serious, but non life-threatening injuries. Zamorano was flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital and the officer was transported there by ambulance. The officer was released this morning. His K9 partner was evaluated by a veterinarian and did not suffer serious injury.

Detectives from the Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to the crash and are continuing to investigate.

I'm referring to the dash cam or video from the police car. It sure looked like there was a dash cam in the crash photograph I saw. Since all video is public record, I'm wondering why it hasn't been released?

The dash cam would clearly show if the officer was at fault or not. The officer t-boned her car, not she hit him. I'd also like to know what her BAL was.

Did you read the story? When you are drunk and pull into the path of another vehicle shouldn't that alone explain who is at fault here?

Well why dont you fucking drive down to their headquarters and get some real info, and no , more police cars in Fairfax dont have cameras than do.If they did you would want an answer as to why the cops are wasting so much of your tax money.

I have a feeling the cops are trying to explain the cause by saying the girl was drunk who was involved. You can be drunk and NOT the cause of the accident. Especially is some runs into you.

That's like saying Cho could have shot up Virginia Tech and not have been responsible for one of the students' death.

Eesh-

If you are irresponsible enough to drink and drive, but are sitting at a traffic light and someone rear-ends you, your drunkenness is not the cause of the accident.

Your VT analogy is way off.

Who is the cause of the spelling errors in your reply? Can you be drunk and it not be your fault that you have horrible grammar? FAIL!! Stupid fucking drunk.

In your analogy a student in a classroom drunk would be at fault for being shot.

Let's make that a clearer analogy. A student crossing the hall drunk who got hit by a bullet from Cho would be at fault for getting shot.

I'm none of those things. I've never even gotten a ticket. Unlike you, however, I question authority...not just the police, but the government, the media, or anyone who stands up and tells others "this is how it ought to be". Anyone who DOESN'T have some sort of problem with authority is an idiot.

So the guy who questions people who say "this is how it ought to be" tells people who don't have a problem with authority, like he wants, they are idiots? Using that rationale, shouldn't we all be questioning you then, hippie?

He doesn't get a hint. I HIGHLY doubt you have a clean record. Anyone who is that mistrusting of authority must have a super fucked up family. Do you have a mom AND a dad? Didn't think so. No daddy means we don't trust anyone.

Umm, so he was CORRECT. Public services can't sue. The cop would lose. He was probably flying down Rolling Rd at 100 mph with his emergency lights off and she pulled out thinking he was going the normal 40 mph.

Uhm, so he was incorrect since he was responding to the post above, that stated the cops should sue, not the department, try some reading comprehension drills.

Sorry not buying that, release the video???

IF HE DIDN'T HAVE HIS SIRENS AND LIGHTS ON THEN THERE WOULD BE NO VIDEO BECAUSE THE DASH CAMS ONLY RECORD WHEN LIGHTS AND SIREN ARE IN USE. At least the last I heard, unless this has changed.

So much bad info in this thread....

Not all stations had the dash cams to begin with and they were mostly for patrol/marked cruisers. Due to the budget, the program was axed and all the equipment was removed.

Once the lights/sirens are activated, the camera rolls until you hit the stop button. They do not turn off when the emergency equipment is shut off. I'm going to guess that this K9 officer probably was in an unmarked SUV and if he was I can guarantee he doesn't have a dashcam.

Crash Reconstruction Unit responds to any accident that involves a FCPD unit and serious injuries.

So yeah, going with there is no video to be released.

That article is issued from the Fairfax County Police and is slightly misleading. She crossed into the path of the speeding unmarked and the unmarked hit her. NOT she hit the officer.

Still--she didn't yield to oncoming traffic which makes it her fault. He had control of the lane (even if he's driving fast w/lights & siren on or not) and she turned out in front of him.

"she pulled out of Parliament Drive into the path of" Plus the pictures show her car hit on the side.

I still find it hard to believe a person, even drunk, could not see a car at night with flashing blue and red lights. That area is four lane highway she crossing. Drunk people are often overly slow and cautious, plus she was just a block or two from her house so she knew the area well.

Maybe she was fingering her snatch and queefed causing her to spew jism juice all over the brake pedal. Being the brake pedal was now covered in jismmy juice, her foot slipped off, hitting the gas pedal by accident?
