Where have you seen speed cameras in Virginia? There was a thread a while ago on the toll booth cameras either being deactivated or empty of hardware. I guess according to the anon poster they are supposedly up and running. Maybe the anon poster got some evidence of that in the mail.

The VA assembly reauthorized them. I wasn't aware the law took effect till Jul 1st though.

nakedshoplifter, that was RED LIGHT CAMERAS that the assembly reauthed. This thread is in regards to the toll booth cameras that catch you not paying the toll. Those were never outlawed, however, the people that operate the booths apprently were not making use of them for a while. I ran tolls three times last year and never got one ticket (I fully expected to get one).

You are correct that all VA laws go into effect the july 1 after they are passed. IIRC it's in our state constitution.

Who says they are worried? Those tickets don't go on your record, so who cares? If you have the money to pay them I say "have fun".

I was the anon who made the first post about them not working.. they were nto working at the time..
