Yep. When they hang that bag and you have morphine on demand you know it is about time. The Doctor and nurses will leave the room. You say your last goodbyes and just hit the plunger till they fall asleep. It won't be long after that they take their last breath. It's a very humane way to end the suffering. It was one of the most intense things I have ever experienced, but I am glad I was there to see that she was at peace and very relaxed as she went to sleep. After her last breath I checked her pulse then went and told the nurse that she had passed. Doctor came in and asked me when she last breathed and we decided on a time to put down as the official time of death.
