HB 1673 Plastic bag tax
Posted by: illegal taxing of GROCERIES ()
Date: April 12, 2020 03:49PM

Democrats are evil.

there are laws forbidding certain kinds of taxation on groceries

(why is to prevent everyone from starving due to tax hikes, obviously)

this law taxes plastic bags AND KICKS MONEY BACK TO THE GROCER (likely to keep their lawyers quiet)

It didn't pass.

Also WTF is this illegal shit. The law says what taxes are legal and what taxes are not. If the law is changed to say that the state can impose a tax on plastic bags, or if the law is changed to allow localities to impose a bag tax, then taxing bags becomes legal.

Have you noticed that the bottles containing many staples such as food condiments, etc are getting smaller and smaller, now made with indentations that take up space where the contained substance used to fill? That also is a form of "taxation" as the prices keep going up for less and less product in the container. They really think that the public is that stupid as to not notice. Just learn to cook from the original soods--milk, butter, grains, fresh or frozen vegetables, meat from a butcher instead of a can, flour, real eggs--forget their taxation and make your own dinner from scratch. And bring your own boxes or cloth bags when you go shopping. Save money and beat them at their own game.

HB 1151 Plastic bag tax; use of revenues.
Introduced by: Alfonso H. Lopez | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE: (all summaries)
Plastic bag tax; use of revenues. Allows localities to impose a five-cent ($0.05) per bag tax on plastic bags provided to customers by retailers in grocery stores, convenience stores, restaurants, or drugstores. Certain products are exempt from the tax. The bill directs revenue from the local tax to be deposited into the Virginia Water Quality Improvement Fund and the Virginia Natural Resources Commitment Fund. The bill allows every restaurant or retailer that collects the tax to retain one cent of the five-cent tax if the tax is paid in a timely manner. The bill incorporates HB 1673.

------------------------------------

G2 ACCUSED OP OF SAYING THE BILL DIDN'T PASS

HOWEVER THE ABOVE SHOWS IT ABSOLUTELY DID PASS

DROP DEAD G2

ILLEGAL IS WHEN GOVERNMENT GIVES KICK-BACKS, LIVES IN MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR MANSIONS, HIRES ILLEGAL ALIENS, REFUSES TO GIVE FOOD STAMPS TO THOSE WHO'S GUTS ARE BEING PERMANENTLY DAMAGED FROM STARVATION WHO HAVE NO LEGAL HOUSING, AND USE POLICE TO ATTACK ANYONE WHO DARES TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST THEM

Why not just impose a 100% tax and everything will be free.

The simple plastic bags are not good for shipping. First of all, there is no guaranty that your clothing, your shoes, your food will be protected. To ignore such problems, I bought the best poly shipping bags I have ever seen. These poly bags are cheap, you may put in them everything you want, the sizes are different. I recommend everyone see them because it is the best way of keeping fragile stuff while being on the road.

I don’t know what the fuck is up. I gaslighted my employee to believe I knew what I was doing on March 30 but I got fucked by Lorraine D. If you lie in an authoritative voice you can force employees to believe you because they need a job.
