Sunsets?

Where's the best place around to observe our beautiful sunsets? I miss watching this beautiful daily event. It is hard to find open spaces which are not obstructed, and this is coming from someone who has tried. I find it very relaxing like watching water in a zen sort of way.

The best sunsets I've seen around here have been from high up in a building. Its worth working late from the 10th floor of the Herrity building to see it. If you look northeast you can see the last bit of sunlight bouncing off of the buildings in Tysons. Beautiful.

It was always cool seeing storms move in from the mountians too.

If you want a good view around here, you gotta get high.

I bet that tower at the Air & Space Museum in Chantilly is a pretty cool place to watch the sunset.

The Fairfax County Parkway overtop Route 50. I've been stuck at that light during sunsets so many times...look off to the west and you see the mountains. Don't laugh, it's actually sorta pretty. The only downer is that you can only enjoy it if you're stopped and for only as long as it takes for traffic to move again.
