The fucking Lutheran missionaries did the same thing in Central Australia. They took the Aboriginals out of the bush and had them attempt to live in houses in communities. These were nomadic people. The Lutherans taught them how to paint and do other modern things so that they would feel cultured. Now they sell their stupid dot paintings as if they have been doing them for thousands of years.
